I just purchased a beautiful Airstream through Airstream of Des Moines/Blue Compass. I am generally not a fan of large dealerships but they worked hard to change my mind. Airstream Andy was a great salesman. Good communication via text before I went in and I walked in knowing exactly which unit I was looking at. Even still, Andy took us around and showed us every other potential model that could have worked for us to make sure we were confident in our decision. The sales process went as smoothly as it possibly could. Finance guy, RJ, took over and the paperwork was painless. Technician Marvin prepped our Airstream and gave us a perfect PDI walkthrough. We drove away very knowledgeable on our new Airstream. Hi highly recommend these guys for anyone looking for a new Airstream.
We bought a 2 yr old Electra Accolade in August. We brought it home Saturday afternoon, and soon after found out the generator and solar panels weren’t working. The strut on the camper door fell off when we were looking at it, they said they fixed that. It fell off at home as soon as we opened the door. My husband called service Monday and they told him they were 3 weeks out for service. Now we bought the warranty, and thought they would bring it back in right away since they sent it out not working. I went in the next day and shared my frustration with them. They said to bring it that night and they would give us a different service advisor. He was great. Said he had an opening the following Tuesday. We didn’t hear from them for two weeks, my husband called and they gave him the service manager. She told him one story and when I went in she told me another story. We are very frustrated. My husband finally got an appt with the tech. He was great, kept my husband in the loop and we brought it home last weekend. Everything fixed ……… not. Bed is up when slide is in, lays down when slide is down. The bed won’t lay down. My husband is looking at it to see if he can figure it out. We will not recommend anyone to your store. Your service office if pathetic. Zero communication. I must add that the sales team and financing were great.

Jacob - Our Sales person - he was very knowledgeable and listened to our needs and what we were looking for and found us a great fit - He even pulled a few strings with the manufacturer to make it happen - we really appreciated that - Thank you! Amber - Our Finance person - she was remarkable and very friendly. Thank you! Jill - She made sure we knew if we had any issues she would be the one to talk to - Any warranty or anything else we may need for the camper. Glory (Lori) - She did our final walk-thru with us of the camper before we took possession - Super friendly and really knew her "Stuff" - all questions got answers! You can tell she loves people and she love her job! Melissa - She did the final paper work (Amber was at a Big RV Show) Mike - General Manager - He made sure everything - and I do mean EVERYTHING went smoothly (Jacob - was at the same RV Show as Amber - so was not able to be there the day we picked up our new camper) You are reading this review - you must be checking out RV Dealers - Would I recommend Blue Compass Altoona, Iowa you might ask?? - I sure would - this TEAM - Knowledgeable, Friendly, NOT PUSHY, They have you the buyers needs in mind. Absolutely fantastic experience from the sales team to the service and parts department. Everyone is professional, friendly, and most importantly communicative. Jacob our salesman did everything he could to get the best deal possible. RJ in finance was very informative about the contract and anything we wanted added or removed. During our demo, Ronson and Adam were very knowledgeable in showing us around our RV ensuring we understood how to properly operate all components. Phillip our advisor came in on his day off to help us resolve a parts issue in our process of getting the RV ready for our cross country trip. Michael and Drew the managers, are fantastic and have a great dealership with outstanding folks all around. Definitely using them for future work and sales.
What an incredible experience dealing with Blue Compass Iowa. I can’t thank them enough and if you’re looking for a coach or anything doing with camping, you need to go to that store in that store only. Make sure you ask for Jacob who was a fantastic sales person and hands-down Amber the best finance manager come across. Andrew, the general sales manager guided me through as best he can before coming out there. The general manager, Michael even reached out to me to make sure everything was 100% good. I can’t thank you enough for everything you guys have done. The whole crew knew I had a very very long drive back, driving straight through and made sure the entire time that I was OK until I got home. Thank you all.
