Do NOT recommend I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Imperial RV in Ankeny. We went there on a referral from a close friend after purchasing our very first camper. Within the first 30 days, the roof started leaking. I had photos, videos, and timestamps proving it happened well within that window, yet every time we reached out to our sales rep, we were given the runaround. Instead of standing behind the sale, they repeatedly told us to contact the manufacturer — which led to the exact same runaround. I work on the road, 12–14 hour days in remote areas, which is the whole reason I bought a camper in the first place. I don’t have the luxury of driving back and forth to Ankeny for issues that should have been handled properly from the start. Fast forward less than three years later, and we’re dealing with another major problem — what appears to be a membrane issue causing air pockets to rise while driving on the interstate. We brought it back to Imperial RV to have them look at it. They called back quoting $8,000 to fix it… on a camper that cost $20,000 new. When we picked it up (after deciding we weren’t going to spend that kind of money), it was obvious they barely looked at it. We had the membrane air pocket covered up in a specific way so we could tell it wasn’t looked at properly. Yet they still charged us a $100 diagnostic fee for essentially nothing. Do not recommend this place. Between the lack of support, the constant deflection to the manufacturer, and the outrageous repair quote, this has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I’ve ever had.

We bought a used camper from Imperial RV very recently. I am going to say that it was a horrible experience to begin with. The day we picked it up it had not been cleaned and according to the lights inside the black tank had not been emptied. We gave them a call and they were happy to make it right. We brought it back and all of our concerns were taken care of. Fast forward a few days and we take this camper on its first trip. We set up and everything worked as it should. The lines were a little smelly but that seemed to be the only issue. While we were headed home, we blew one of our tires. We changed out to the spare and made it home safely. We learned that day that the tires that the trailer was equipped with were 7 years old and dry cracking which caused the failure. Now this may seem like a horrible review, but let me explain why this is a 5 star review. Imperial RV has the most AMAZING customer service I have ever seen at any kind of dealership. Every time we had an issue, it was taken care of. After we had the tire mishap, we gave them another call and explained everything. One person in particular, Chandra, made sure that all our needs were met. Chandra wasn't even our sales person. She took it upon herself to make sure when we left with our unit today that we were happy. Don't let our bumpy experience keep you from finding your camper/RV here. They made everything right when it was wrong and I couldn't be happier. We will be coming back when it is time to upgrade! Thank you so so much Imperial RV and ESPECIALLY Chandra! You have more than earned my future business!

Traveling home to California from Michigan. Looked at and called just about every rv place in between for the part we needed to operate our rv camera. Imperial RV was the only place that had it in stock! Even the larger rv sales places didn’t have it and one of the LARGEST RV supply stores said they could only ship it from their main hub. Very helpful folks at Imperial RV!

Just purchased a new travel trailer at Imperial RV. John and Zach in sales were able to find exactly what I wanted at a great price. On delivery, Denny showed me how everything operated and was very knowledgeable. Their parts department had the additional items I needed to enhance my camping adventures. Just a great experience all around. I highly recommend Imperial!

I waited a bit before I gave a review to see how things played out ..... we purchased a 2024 Keystone 330rl from Imperial . We had a trade in so we wanted to bring that home and empty it before we picked up the new one . The day we went to get it we went in the trailer and they told us it wasn't the trailer that we had originally looked at but they brought one from the back lot . That made me feel a little uncomfortable ... we went inside the trailer and I saw a trail of water on the floor . They had guys come in and look and they told me it was from a leaky seal in the toilet which I thought was weird because why would water of been in the toilet but they replaced the seal and said it was fixed . We went inside and signed papers , one paper said that we couldn't return the unit for any reason . I don't remember signing anything like that before and should have stopped right then but I didn't ...it was a rainy day and we pulled the camper to our permanent campsite a little over three hours away . We got there and got everything outside set up . We opened the door and walked in and there was water everywhere ... not trickles but water gushing all through the livingroom to the bedroom . We were in a total panic and called Imperial and they basically said we'd have to bring it back to get it worked on but that wasn't helping right then . After no guidance from them we called Ketelsons and they gave us a name of guy that had a mobile service . We called him and he was wonderful and had us do all the checking to see where the water was coming from and it was the exit window that wasn't sealed . He had us pour water on all the windows and when we hit that window water just gushed in . We went to the hardware store after cleaning as much up as we could and bought some sealant . At that time we chose to deal with Ketelsons because they were concerned and tried to help us and even called us afterward to see if we were okay . We were just sick not knowing what kind of damage was done .... we are still getting this all worked out but the reason we bought the trailer was to travel as we just retired . We took the trailer for our first trip and 1500 miles from home in the middle of nowhere our bedroom slide wouldn't work . It was stuck out . We called Imperial for help and the service guy said he'd called us back ... he didn't ... we called him again , by then we had YouTubed different videos and my husband was able to manually get it in. The motor was put in upside down and was stripped . We were so concerned and worried and we thought we would of gotten a little more help in figuring out what to do or maybe a call back . The two stars were that we liked the salesman and we had an issue with our trade in and we easily got that worked out with them . Once we left the lot it was total disappointment . We would not buy from them again , especially with the water issue ..... we thought we'd get a call back . They also told us that ours was on the top end of trailers and clearly that wasn't the case . Very cheaply made :(
