Delivered my 2020 Newmar Dutch Star on January 27th. Many calls to the service writers, from then to today 2/16/26 the coach had not been looked at. Sat in their yard for 21 days, I went to pick it up today, batteries were dead, had to jump start the coach. They lie, and complain about their lack of Techs, I wonder why. I will never do business with this company! I've had 4 class A coaches. Had my service done here when it was Independence RV the service then was perfect, honest and reliable. It WAS the best place in Florida to get service work completed. Maybe Newmar will find out and end them as a dealer. So frustrating!!! I want to add that the GM of the property came to see me, he had NO concerns about my issues, just defended he property, not one suggestion on what he may do for a frustrated customer..... See less
This is our third motorhome purchase from Independence RV now General RV. Malcolm spoke our language and provided some needed guidance, Chuck was great on the business side. Tammy did a great job with our walk through such fun! Joe, the Spartan specialist was very knowledgeable, and Tom the service advisor saved the day from my user error! We now have a beautiful Dutch Star!
I walked into this business without a clue of what to expect, totally new to the camper purchasing process. The first person I shook hands with was Martin Wilke, he is the kind of sales representative that is happy to help you in any way he can. He is a straight shooter, very knowledgeable in his field and truely a pleasure to work with. He gave my family and I the education we needed to make a responsible decision he was extremely patient and seems to enjoy his job.
Excellent service far superior to any shop I have been to. Warren the service writer, the service manager, and techs was great to work with. Kept me informed on what was going on and showed me how things worked once repaired. I fully intend on them to be my to go to shop! One other thing the cost was well below what I expected by far. TOTALLY HAPPY WITH THEM!!! Roger
We bought our Motorhome from Independence RV in 2019. Since then it was bought by General RV. We were concerned that the service wouldn’t be as good. To our happy surprise we found the dealer to be wonderful on our recent stop. We had a couple issues heading south and called Warren our service rep and he said come on by and he will try to help us. We pulled in and within 20 minutes Joe was working on our Motorhome. Everything was corrected and explained to us in a timely fashion. They were very patient and helpful. Bud in parts was very helpful also. He found the part quickly and is shipping it to us. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you!

Pick the right RV type

Inspect these on every unit
Check the roof for cracks or soft spots (signs of water damage). Open every slideout and look for seal wear. Run all appliances. Test the generator, AC, and water heater. Check the underbelly for rust or damage.
Know the weight ratings
Every RV has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). Overloading causes tire blowouts and frame damage. Compare the GVWR against your intended load before committing.
Review service records
Ask General RV Orlando, FL for any available service history. Regular maintenance records — oil changes, roof resealing, slide service — signal a well-cared-for unit.
