He found the perfect unit for our family and we couldn’t be more pleased with it. Robert handled the education end of things. I am a previous camper owner, and he taught me things I never knew and really made sure we all understood how to operate the camper. Russ in the business department was great to work with. I thoroughly enjoyed talking with him and he made everything seamless and easy. Brian, Brad, and Heather stayed late to make sure my brakes worked. This was huge because the issue I had was with a fuse in my vehicle - not the camper. They did not leave until they resolved the issue and ensured I could get the camper home safely. They didn’t have to do that - but they did. Great American RV just made a customer for life. You can tell when people really care, and they did.

I was warned that RV dealers are scummy, and these people confirmed it. Everything was fine until it was time to sign papers. After picking a camper and negotiating a price, the salesman brought me a contract to sign. I noticed a $500 fee that I wanted to challenge, and he said he'd "check with his boss and get back to me." After half an hour of waiting, he came back with a new contract. He pointed at the section where the fees were listed, said "look, we removed it for you," and handed me a pen to sign it. What he didn't mention (and expected me not to notice) was that the price of the RV had been increased by $2,500. When I pointed out that it was higher than the previous offer, he said, "what previous offer? There was no previous offer." I pulled the old contract out of my pocket and showed it to him, and he started backpedaling--"oh, that one? It was never official. It wasn't actually a real offer." Within an hour, I'd purchased an RV from one of their competitors. I was fully ready to close with Great American RVs, and I probably would've been willing to buy at the higher price if they'd been upfront about it, but their underhanded tactics lost them the sale.
