Terrible experience all around. Their finance team is a joke. All of our paperwork had wrong information, including the VIN, state we live in, and loan terms. Every time we talked to them we'd get a different answer on rates and payments. But little did we know this was the least of our worries. We have had nothing but warranty issues with our camper since the day we picked it up. This unit NEVER should have left the lot. With all the issues we had with paperwork, when we set up a day/time to pick up our camper, my husband called TWICE beforehand to make sure they had someone ready to do our walkthrough, at which time we were assued they had someone ready and acknowleged we were coming. When we showed up on the morning of April 8, 2025, no one knew we were coming. The service department scrambled to find someone to do our walkthrough and opted for the guy who had NEVER even been in our model before. He couldn't answer any questions specific to our model. Shortly after our walk through, as we were hooking the camper to the truck to take home, the CO2 monitor started going off. The service team offered no assistance and sent us on our way. Long story short, the next day we discovered the CO2 monitor was going off because the battery was overcharging. The burning odor could be smelled throughout our entire property. When we took the battery cover off, the battery was smoking and spitting acid...right next to 2 full propane tanks. We quickly and safetly disconnected and removed the battery and contacted AC Nelson the next day about it, but were DAMN lucky it didn't start a fire. Since then, our camper has gone back and forth to AC Nelson several times to try and fix the battery defect. The built in solar system is meant to keep the battery charged, but is somehow not regulating it causing it to overcharge. It is now November and we still don't have a fix (bought in January, picked up in April). AC nelson's service team keeps telling us they have thousands of dollars stuck into this repair already and that they don't know how to fix it. Never mind the 10's of thousands of dollars we spent on it. It has been nothing but headaches for the past 6 months dealing with these guys. They don't ever return phone calls. They don't call you back when they say they will. They don't follow up with the manufacturer - they will wait weeks with no contact rather than call and follow up. Only when we have called and complained do they ever do anything. Then when we do call to follow up, they act dumb like they don't understand why we keep calling. The warranty states if the dealer cannot fix warranty issues, we must contact the manufacturer (Forest River) in writing to give them an opportunity to fix the defect prior to taking legal action. Since AC Nelson doesn't have any interest in taking care of their customers, this is our last option before we seak legal help. The battery has not been the only issue we have faced - other problems include windows that don't slide and a door that wouldn't latch. These eventually got fixed, but only after MONTHS of calling and nagging. We actually had to pose as a dealer and reach out to Forest River ourselves to get parts expedited and gather delivery information because AC Nelson kept saying the parts hadn't come in even through we had the tracking information with their service guy's signature on it! Turns out the part had been sitting there for a week and no one noticed. And to top it all off, it was the wrong part, so we had to wait even longer for them to get the right one in. Bottom line is avoid this place. Go somewhere else. Because if you ever need any sort of warranty work done, you will wait months, end up doing the leg work yourself, and still not get the service you need. I can't even express here what a frustrating summer this has been. What should have been fun enjoying our new camper ended up being the worst buying experience we've ever had, and it's not even over yet.

Purchasing and financing was fine, but their title office does not communicate with you at all, I’ve been trying to cancel my extended warranty for almost two months and Jess Eads will not communicate at all on where the refund check is. She’s had the cancellation forms for almost two months.

After a breakdown on a metro freeway a few weeks back, we were told by four other RV repair shops that we'd have to wait 2 months before they could get us in. AC Nelson got us in! As a bonus, they were friendly, knowledgeable and honest. Overall, we had a great experience with them!
