It all started back in 1985 when Del Amo Motorsports was founded. We were located at 1512 Aviation Blvd in Redondo Beach, CA. This was a store that was only 6,000 square feet, but one that was considered large for a motorcycle dealership at the time.
Christian at Del Amo Motorsports went above and beyond helping me get back on the road after recovering from a motorcycle accident. He was patient, supportive, and truly cared about my situation. I came in looking to purchase a Honda Navi for my nephew and had a very disappointing experience. The staff was not helpful at all and honestly made it feel like they didn’t want to sell the bike. They didn’t even bother to turn it on, claiming it had no battery, which didn’t inspire much confidence. What really pushed this over the edge was the pricing. On top of a bike that’s around $2,000, they added an almost $1,000 addendum, which feels completely unreasonable for an entry-level bike. When I questioned it, there was zero willingness to explain or negotiate. It honestly felt like because this was a “cheap” bike, the staff didn’t care about the sale or the customer experience. Buying a motorcycle—no matter the price—should still come with basic customer service and respect. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here, and I left very disappointed.
