Auto Time completely wasted my time. I would not go back here. I called to inquire about a specific car and then made an appointment to test drive that car via text with an employee. Note that this was not a luxury car or a rare car, it was a normal used car. The employee asked me how I plan to pay for the car (cash, finance or pre-approval from my own lender) over text. I said pre-approval from my own lender, and he asked which lender. He said he was asking because this company “does business with all the major lenders”. I said I don’t have a lender yet and he said ok, he would see me at the test drive appointment. On the day of the appointment I called to confirm the address and he again asked me how I plan to pay for the car, to which I again answered pre-approval from my own lender, and that I would let them know when I have a specific lender in place. So I arrive for the test drive and he tells me that actually, I can only look at the car, not test drive it, because I don’t already have a lender in place. I said he should’ve told me that before, and that while I didn’t plan to buy the car that day, I did come there clearly expecting to test drive the car. He gave an excuse about used cars being very popular and people coming in for test drives and damaging the cars, so he doesn’t let people test drive cars without that information. If that’s your rule, that you don’t let people test drive without verbal “proof” of financing, that’s fine, but act like a person who runs a business and be direct with your customers. If that’s your rule, why wouldn’t you say “If you don’t have a specific lender, you can’t test drive the car” either of the TWO times you spoke to me via text and call? It felt to me like this is actually not a rule, and he made some assumptions about me based on my appearance and decided on the spot that I was not allowed to test drive. I would absolutely not waste my time here again.
Completely a "magic trick" type of business. Placed a deposit, no paperwork signed- changed my mind after further research. Once I informed them I would no longer be going forward with purchase, 3 weeks later Sam said that they could keep deposit regardless- with no paperwork signed at all regarding sale. Be careful with them- they will try to tell you verbal agreements hold weight, which they do not in the state of Arizona (Statute of frauds). After informing Sam that I knew my rights, he finally agreed to refund- then gave me the runaround. Its now February and theyve not responded to emails, so I'm filing in civil court tomorrow. Do not deal with them
Got a beautiful BMW! So excited! The crew at AutoTime was so welcoming from the moment I stepped onto the lot. Sam showed me within my price range so I feel extremely comfortable with my purchase. Absolutely amazing! Just the friendly staff makes this small dealership out shine the bigger dealerships by far. I had been looking for a car went to several big & small dealerships, kinda felt like a dating site nightmare the cars didn’t look like what was posted. Several weren’t even so much as cleaned up, dirty inside and out. The car I found on Auto Time website was not only cleaned up it was meticulously detailed inside/out and absolutely beautiful in person. I looked at the car & drove it away in about an hour. Within 3 days there was an issue with the car. I was out of town & called Sam, he said bring it in as soon as you return. I did, they took care of it, I had no problem no issues no questions from them. My car was taken care of and back to me in a short time. I would definitely recommend giving this dealership a look. They don’t pressure- they have respect, and true customer service, something that seems to have been lost these days with retailers.
