It's been a year since I traded my motorcycle and my toy hauler for a used 2019 Heartland Prowler 25LX. I miss my motorcycle but the grandbabies love the bunkhouse. My wife and I are glad we made the decision to upgrade. I am also grateful for our sales agent Tia and the finance agent Angel. We definitely hope to see Tia and Angel when it's time to order a Gulf Stream BT Cruiser 5220 or equivalent. Thanks General RV. See you next year.
From initial visit to the West Chester, PA dealership to the delivery of our brand new made for us 2026 Grand Design RV the process was amazing. We told Megan (our sales rep) what we were looking for and she showed us several options - no pressure. She made the process of ordering a brand new, made-to-order, RV seamless. She was super knowledgeable and extremely friendly. When we went in to pick up our new purchase we were met at the door and escorted the rest of the day - from a very thorough RV walkthrough with Marty (extremely knowledgeable, friendly and hilarious), to meeting parts and service reps, and finally to finance - the process was extremely easy. As long as we live here in MD we will continue to use General RV in West Chester, PA - hands down the best experience we’ve had purchasing an RV (or travel trailer) or even a car.
Had a great experience from Jim Evans in sales then Maureen and Jennifer at pickup! Even tho we were purchasing a "lower budget" used unit, we got top notch treatment from start to finish.
We had such an amazing experience at General RV. Maureen has been with us every step of the way, making sure we had appointments, etc. scheduled. She even called one day when we were later than expected because she wanted to be sure everything was alright since she knew we were driving a distance. Kayla did our walk through and was so thorough and knowledgeable. She truly showed us every nook and cranny of the RV and clearly had a very good sense of all of the systems and how they worked. Chris and George are continuing to assist us in some electrical/hook up issues and have been so helpful, there is obvious expertise in all things mechanical and electrical. Our experience could not have been better, we are so happy we ended up at General RV!
Had a pleasant time and experience until they gave me a trade estimate. They said they use jd power and Nada. As hard as I tried I could not get my trade to go as low as they offered. General rv was very one sided and followed me out to my car to try to prove their point. My trade sells on line -all day for 44k-50k easily! They tried to offer me 18k what a joke. I feel sorry for anyone that is willing to give away thousands of dollars worth of the equity to keep these people in business! Camping world offered me 33,890 for the same trade. With the same 40% off their unit. Very unhappy with wasting my time here. Stinks this company is in my back yard and I can’t buy from them. I have to travel an hour away to go buy a different rv. This place might be ok if you don’t bring a trade!!

Set your budget first
RV prices range from under $10,000 for used travel trailers to $300,000+ for Class A diesel pushers. Know your number before you browse. Use SearchShop's payment estimator on any General RV Philadelphia, PA listing to model monthly costs.
Pick the right RV type
Travel trailers and fifth wheels need a capable tow vehicle. Class B and C motorhomes offer an easier entry point. Class A motorhomes give the most space. Ask the team at General RV Philadelphia, PA which type fits your camping style.
Inspect these on every unit
Check the roof for cracks or soft spots (signs of water damage). Open every slideout and look for seal wear. Run all appliances. Test the generator, AC, and water heater. Check the underbelly for rust or damage.
Know the weight ratings
Every RV has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). Overloading causes tire blowouts and frame damage. Compare the GVWR against your intended load before committing.
Review service records
Ask General RV Philadelphia, PA for any available service history. Regular maintenance records — oil changes, roof resealing, slide service — signal a well-cared-for unit.
RV loans are specialized. Knowing the basics helps you get the best deal when financing through General RV Philadelphia, PA in West Chester, PA.
