My husband and I just bought our very first travel trailer. Our salesman Kevin asked us questions to help us decide exactly what we were looking for. He gave us a lot of great information and definitely a few things we hadn't thought about. We Also worked with Rebecca who was Very helpful and professional. they had a great selection, honestly it was hard to decide. For us it came down to wanting a bunkhouse. We love our new home on wheels and can't wait to use it.
Me and my dad’s experience at Campers Inn was mixed. We came looking for a particular unit. Kevin helped us review our options and we made the purchase. Kevin was truly exceptional. We completed the financing (finance manager was friendly and professional) that same night, and arranged for delivery the following weekend. On Delivery day is when we had issues. Eric setup our hitch. He was very friendly, however he sent us out with a horribly misconfigured hitch. Our tongue was much higher than the rear end, and the whole setup was anything but level. We made it about 5 miles or so down the road, and we knew something was not right so we returned to have the configuration adjusted. Michael reconfigured the hitch so that the trailer was level and the weight was more evenly distributed. Eric did later acknowledge his error, though he didn’t exactly apologize. 2nd thing on delivery day: Our pin for our handrail was missing. One of the guys said “Oh you can probably find it online, we don’t have one.” We just purchased a $45K trailer and you’re telling me we need to find a pin that should’ve come with our trailer? The customer centric response would’ve been “We’ll get one ordered for you ASAP. So sorry about that!” But instead it was our problem. 3rd thing on delivery day: We were given a walk around of the sales floor, and were pressured pretty aggressively into things we “needed” to buy. We purchased the few things we actually needed and left it at that. We take the trailer home with no issues. The newly configured hitch now felt correct and we even hit a CAT scale to check on our weights. All weights were in check, however, the rear tow vehicle axle weight suggested the tongue weight was higher than our hitch’s bars were rated for. I put the tongue on a tongue scale and it weighed in at 750lbs, which is the maximum our bars were rated for. Mind you, this was before any water was in the tank and before any gear was loaded in the front compartment. After doing some homework, I decided I wanted to switch our bars out for the bars rated for 1000lbs. Kevin was my point of contact and was once again great to us. He checked to see if we could swap the bars and confirmed that they could do that for me no problem. I arrive at the parts counter and let them know I’m here to swap my bars. I let them both know I reached out to Blue Ox and they had advised me to go up a size. Tim says “Oh, when you call Blue Ox, you get some guy answering a phone, not an engineer….I’m an engineer.” I wanted to ask to see his degree, but I didn’t think that would be taken too well, so I held my tongue. As Tim was getting my new bars, the other guy says to me “You know, we’re provided with your trailers information when we set you up and you had the correct bars.” I told him the tongue weighed in at 750lbs which is the maximum rating for the bars and that was before water and gear. He tries to sell me “Oh, they’re actually rated for 200lbs more than they say they are”. and “Oh, water doesn’t contribute to tongue weight.” No where in any of Blue Ox’s educational material could I find the claim about supporting 200lbs more, and anyone with half a brain cell could tell you water will contribute to tongue weight if the tank is in front of the axles (ours is). The reason I was being so cautious about my configuration is because I was recently involved in a very bad accident involving my vehicle and trailer. My dad and I were thrown off the side of the highway and did a few flips before coming to rest. We were fortunate enough to walk away with minor injuries, but both the trailer and vehicle were totaled. I shared the story with them and received no sympathy or compassion as to my situation. To be perfectly blunt, both guys were jerks hell bent on being right. I do not plan on bringing my trailer back to Camper’s Inn for service. Stay away from Camper’s Inn, and look elsewhere! P.S. Stop burning incense! The store smells awful!
COMPLETELY unethical and incompetent Service Dept! Avoid at ALL costs. Paid for a solar/lithium project; it never worked to power my microwave (my only request) and the list of things they did wrong Is endless. Basic things like using wire 8x too small and they wondered why the current wasn't being carried. Disnt seal the roof in all spots. Fuses too big thus a fire hazard. Inverter poorly installed and fell on top of the lithium batteries. Nothing attached correctly and after 2 months I gave up. Now they are inflating costs for what I owe them. Cost me over $4000 to recover from the inept job. BEWARE!!!
They started out great by working with me to get the Grech RV exactly the way I wanted it from the manufacturer even though they had existing inventory. After my deposit, everything started going wrong; from returning phone calls, follow ups, understanding the RV; knowledge of the RV itself & delivery, it was the worst experience I have ever had in purchasing something. Never followed up to see how things were going. If I had to do it over again, I would never use Campers Inn in Philadelphia. Grech has been fantastic & has saved the day. They really care about their product and customer satisfaction. If you are seriously considering a high-end RV and expect more from your dealer, do not use Campers Inn in Philadelphia.
I am extremely disappointed with the lack of transparency and professionalism at this establishment. I was initially told I would be contacted if leaks were found during my pressure test; instead, I was blindsided with a $253 charge for 'repairs needed to complete the test'—a cost I never authorized. When I questioned this, the service representative (Dewayne) misrepresented my concerns to the General Manager (Mr. Holden), claiming I simply 'didn't want to pay.' The situation worsened when Mr. Holden told me, 'You have an expensive RV and you should have money for maintenance.' This comment was incredibly unprofessional and classist, especially considering I was just returning to work after a three-month layoff. Both Dewayne and Mr. Holden require serious training in customer management and basic professional courtesy. Avoid this place if you value transparent pricing and respectful service.

Set your budget first
RV prices range from under $10,000 for used travel trailers to $300,000+ for Class A diesel pushers. Know your number before you browse. Use SearchShop's payment estimator on any Campers Inn RV of Philadelphia listing to model monthly costs.
Pick the right RV type
Travel trailers and fifth wheels need a capable tow vehicle. Class B and C motorhomes offer an easier entry point. Class A motorhomes give the most space. Ask the team at Campers Inn RV of Philadelphia which type fits your camping style.
Inspect these on every unit
Check the roof for cracks or soft spots (signs of water damage). Open every slideout and look for seal wear. Run all appliances. Test the generator, AC, and water heater. Check the underbelly for rust or damage.
Know the weight ratings
Every RV has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). Overloading causes tire blowouts and frame damage. Compare the GVWR against your intended load before committing.
Review service records
Ask Campers Inn RV of Philadelphia for any available service history. Regular maintenance records — oil changes, roof resealing, slide service — signal a well-cared-for unit.
