I drove 7-hours round trip to look at a Winnebago Travato 59GL and the RV I was there to test drive and potentially buy did not start. I had an appointment so I blame management for being unprepared. The salesperson was phenomenal but I watched her ask for assistance several times and no one in the front office or in the shop in the back responded. Finally a very nice salesman named David came to help her. I waited over 2hours and ultimately left without test driving it. I was also surprised to see how dirty the interior of the RV was and was told that they don’t clean them until after they’re sold. I will not return.
As far as it goes your company STOLE the money I paid for the clear coat because you NEVER did it! Proof is in the pictures. Finalized the sale at the end of June and took it to its permanent home. I haven't been able to get anything done until this past weekend. Water was connected this past Sunday and I have been staying in it this week. The kitchen drinking water line sprays water all under the cabinet and on top of the cabinet. The bathroom shower head leaks , one side of the table backet was hanging by one screw, the others were stripped (I bought the new mount and fixed that), the outdoor kitchen is filled with water from somewhere the past 3 days and the outside drawer is screwed into place, so I can’t even get to a shutoff valve if there is one under there. I called to speak to someone about it since this is the first time it’s had water to it, spoke to a manager who ask, “Dis you turn the water off to the camper?” OF COURSE I DID or water would be everywhere and then the manager told me he doesn't/can't send any of my men off site. He said, You'll have to fix it yourself, or find someone around there that can help you. When I rolled out the awning the arm collapsed. It is adjustable and I thought it was made to go down that low, but NOPE, IT'S BROKE. The other side does not adjust that low and my dad said the cable in the arm broke or came loose. The finance guy told me that the camper was sealed and sprayed with a clear coat to keep it from turning yellow. There is NO WAY that happened because 30 minutes after signing the paperwork they told me it was ready, I looked it up, if it takes 8 hours for that to dry how was it ready 30 minutes later? I got on the roof to take a look and it’s COVERED in black (mold?) so it wasn’t washed and DAMN sure wasn’t sealed or sprayed to protect it from the sun. After I signed the paperwork I was told that they didn't have keys for the camper. The sales guy went and found a key a set of keys that would open the front and back door, and promised me the others, but I have yet to hear a single word about them. I had to go back the next day to pick up an item that I left and the service girl told me there are outstanding recalls on the solar panels, and a few other items that they did not fix while they had it… ALMOST A YEAR on one of their lots. (According to salesman). The valve on the propane tanks did not work. A friend of mine brought me a new one so I could use the stove. The vinyl or whatever it is covering the wood is coming off. All this and the manager blew me off would not even connect me to the service department so someone could tell me how to turn the water off to the outside kitchen. He said they wouldn’t know. Well if they did all this work on it then SOMEONE back there should know. That’s what they do. This isn’t the only camper in the world with an outside kitchen. What am I supposed to do? Never have water coming into the camper or pay out of my pocket what your company FAILED to repair?!? This NO DOUBT falls under the lemon law. I will be filing a complaint with the attorney general and the BBB. When I spend $47,000 on something I expect that it is going to be in good shape, sealed and clear coated as I PAID EXTRA FOR IT. I should NOT have given the benefit of the doubt. Your office KNEW it was going to a permanent location so I could spend time and help with my dad. You KNEW once the electric pole went in it couldn’t be moved. And you STILL did NOT do what needed to be done and at this point you STOLE the money I paid for the protective coating.
The entire store at NLR runs like a well-oiled machine, but to be more specific... When buying a car, you want someone who is knowledgeable, upfront, and motivated to get you behind the wheel (while staying in your budget, of course). I learned the sentiment remains the same when purchasing an RV... this is EXACTLY what you'll get from Cindy Cowlings. Not only is she certified to be able to explain the specific intricacies that come with different models and brands, she also has the experience to be able to tell you which models fit your needs almost immediately and will put in the time required to make sure she finds your perfect unit ASAP. I promise that if Cindy is your agent, then there's not a moment wasted on her end making sure you're ready to go, and walking away with all the knowledge needed for your new purchase. The most pleasant surprise I've had during this entire purchase is that there haven't really been any surprises. Cindy and her crew made sure I knew everything I had to do ahead of time to maintain my new unit and that I had the opportunity to purchase the required products the same day that I left with my new keys. Her communication during (and even after) the sale has been top notch and I could not have been happier with my experience working with her! Personable, helpful, and efficient, Cindy at Camping World should be your go to for any recreational vehicles!
This review is for the service department, specifically Austin. Guys Austin is the best! He’s a veteran much like myself so very well spoken and a man of his word. He took his time and helped me a ton. We had great conversations, he’s super easy to work with. Called me anytime something came up. They got all the work done so fast I was honestly pretty shocked. 10/10 100% would go there again. If someone at camping world sees this he deserves an award or something.
This was the best experience we have had with them so far. Our salesperson Drew worked hard to get us the best deal. Finance went smoothly without pushing additional sales, but offered them. Walk through went really well. Make sure you know what want before you go.
