The RV I purchased had several issues. I was not in Dallas, spoke to them on the phone. They were adamant they would not sell an RV in that shape, it must be user error. The inverter did not work properly, the microwave never worked, and the connection for the black tank was missing. They offered to buy it back for $10,000 less than I had paid. I took it to another dealer and spent $5,000 to fix the issues they supposedly fixed. It was all a scam, I wish I had never dealt with them.
Kimberly K. was the star & sweetheart of the show for me at Budget RVs. I was initially a little nervous as I made a deposit on a class B living 1900 miles away, having to fly in to purchase/PU. But Kim walked me through the whole process, even arranging transportation for me, and updating my mailing address for my "title", which was sent FedEx overnight. My 2001 'Leisure Travel Freedom 3b' RV was 23 years old so I wasn't expecting it to be perfect, as there were a few more blemishes that the pics did not reveal. Minor complaint, when I did the test drive with one of the mechanics (Angel I believe) the bathroom doors flew open. Upon closer inspection, one of the hinges was missing, so I asked if they could replace the missing hinge, but he said no. They didn't have the part or the time I assume. So he tied off the bathroom door handles with a rubber band for the 1900 mile trip, (noisy, but it worked till I can fix it properly at home). The engine with 76K+ you could eat off, as they sprayed it very clean. The engine and transmission ran smooth for the 1900 mile trip as that was my main concern. For those who gave negative reviews complaining of hidden damages, remember, unless it's under factory warranty, you sign a "as is" contract at purchase, so it's on you. I hired a mobile mechanic to go through some of the basics before sealing the deal. If you are making a BIG purchase I suggest getting a PRE INSPECTION which will set you back $600-1000 (3-8 hours) , and that's just for the trailer or RV body/electrical, not for the engine/trans inspection as I found out calling around the area. I would recommend Budget RVs of Texas.
