Shopping for a vehicle at BC Cars LLC in Portland, Oregon? Follow these steps to buy with confidence.
Pull the vehicle history report
Run a CARFAX or AutoCheck report using the VIN before you visit. Look for accident history, odometer rollbacks, and title brands like salvage or flood. Ask BC Cars LLC if a report is available for any listing.
Take a thorough test drive
Drive on both city streets and the highway. Accelerate hard. Brake firmly. Listen for any clunks, vibrations, or warning lights. Test the AC, heat, and all electronics during the drive.
Inspect for hidden wear
Check for uneven panel gaps, mismatched paint, or overspray — signs of past bodywork. Push on each corner of the car to test the shocks. Look underneath for frame damage, fluid leaks, or rust.
Get a pre-purchase inspection
Have a trusted mechanic inspect any used vehicle before you buy. A $100–$150 PPI can uncover issues that save you thousands. Ask BC Cars LLC if a third-party inspection is permitted.
Negotiate the out-the-door price
Focus on the total out-the-door price, not the monthly payment. Understand every fee on the sales contract before signing. Dealer add-ons like paint protection and VIN etching are negotiable at BC Cars LLC.
Auto financing is competitive. A little preparation before visiting BC Cars LLC in Portland, Oregon puts you in a stronger position.
Typical Loan Terms
48 to 72 months is most common. Shorter terms cost less in total interest.
Down Payment
10% to 20% down reduces your monthly payment and improves your loan terms.

We found an excellent older Benz ML430 at BC Cars! When looking on line to see what my beloved 23 yr old Benz SUV might be worth, I came across a near identical car with low mileage, 1 owner, well cared for and under $5,000, so I had to check it out. Having the Carfax records was helpful; it was an easy decision to buy. Thank you, Kristina and Bob; purchasing from you was a positive experience and we would definitely shop here again.
Tried to sell us a car that was literally falling apart. The car had clearly been in a terrible accident and was just thrown back together enough to look good. It was a 2006 Silver Honda Civic LX and the mechanic we took it to showed us where the damage was on the body of the car. He also showed us the terrible oil leak (likely from a cracked head gasket), where there were replaced parts on one side of the suspension but not the other, that the transmission fluid was black, the air conditioner compressor was about sieze up, the air bags had been replaced but not the part that would make it work, and that the chassis was crooked, and that the battery had not been properly installed and was bad. When we got there we had to call a number to get the owners to bring the car we had an appointmentto see. They had to take the car to an auto body shop to have the driver's seat belt repaired and we waited for 30 min for that. When we came back from the mechanic they were no longer there and we returned the key to the guy in the office. We then got an angry call from the wife of the owner asking where we put the key. I would warn anyone away from them.
Wonderfully friendly and patient, and very accommodating! This made the car buying process a lot less of a hassle than normal, and we really felt like we got what we paid for. Definitely going to stick with them if we ever need another car.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My daughter who is 24 and a single mom, purchase a car from BC Cars, issues with it from the beginning, took it back numerous times, transmission light kept coming on, they "said" they took it to two different places to get looked at and it was just a sensor going on and off, come to find out my daughters car needs a new transmission (only had car for 3/months), these people are scammers and crooks. I am reporting them to better business bureau. **DO NOT BUY CARS HERE** FYI: When I contacted Christina today and let her know, she blocked my phone number.... SCAMMERS
Tried to sell a 2000 ranger for almost 5k and it had transmission issues. (Couldn't even get to get into gear or park it) Person who showed up to the lot to pull it out hit several cars in the lot in the process. Definitely didn't check it out before slapping a price tag on it
