I just had to get on here and share what a wonderful experience I had at Buick GMC of Beaverton. I am just tickled pink with my new car. A Big Thank You to ERIC! What a wonderful young man! He was a TRUE GENTLEMAN from start to finish… I told Eric right at the start that I’m not very "tech-savvy" with all these new screens and gadgets they put in cars these days. Well, he sat right there in the front seat with me for as long as it took to make sure I knew how to work everything. He was so patient and kind, not pushy at all like you see in the movies. That is what I call GREAT OLD-FASHIONED SERVICE! If you are looking for a new or used vehicle, do yourself a favor and ASK FOR ERIC. He will treat you right! From start to finish, this was the absolute best experience I've ever had buying a vehicle at a dealership - and I've bought more than a dozen cars and nearly as many motorcycles over the years. Bar none, Skylar Hibsch is the best salesperson I have ever dealt with - she's lightning-fast to respond, genuinely cares about her customers, and goes above and beyond to ensure the deal moves smoothly. I never expected to find my dream car for such an amazing price and I think Skylar was the reason it happened. In my life, I'm not sure I've ever even known the name of the finance manager handling my deals, but Zachary Mcdonald deserves serious credit here: from handling much of the deal electronically to having all the paperwork ready to go when I arrived to take delivery of my 2007 Corvette, I am amazed. I think it took less than 5 minutes for me to finish the deal and drive away happy after I arrived! I will absolutely be back to GMC Buick Beaverton again in the future!

This should have been a 5-star review. Except it isn't. Everything about my experience with this dealer was great. Except for one thing which really upset me. A lot. Skylar was a competent sales person and responsive to emails. The price of the vehicle I was purchasing was acceptable. I didn't even try to negotiate a better price! This was a slam dunk easy sale for this dealership. After a 4 hour drive to get there they had me in and out fairly quickly - less than 2 hours. That part was pretty good. You're probably asking what is my issue? I was preapproved by my credit union to purchase the vehicle I was ready to buy. All I needed was a signed purchase order and I would have brought a certified check from my credit union to purchase the vehicle + another certified check for my down payment. 2 checks. Do paperwork. Vehicle paid for and I am gone. So why was I upset? Because they wouldn't accept a certified check from my credit union. This dealership forced me to go through CUDL instead of accepting my credit union check directly. The reason? GREED! Yes, greed. Plain and simple. CUDL is Credit Union Direct Lending - basically financing setup through the dealership. CUDL "shops" your loan proposal with various credit unions. The dealership makes a 2% kickback if they secure financing through CUDL. On a $50,000 vehicle that is $1000.00. Did they offer to split the commission for forcing me to buy though CUDL? Of course not. What if I was paying cash for the vehicle? There is NO kickback in that scenario! Would they have refused my payment to purchase the vehicle? I don't think so. They are in the business to sell vehicles are they not? They only refused to accept a certified credit union check because they knew I was financing and knew they could make more money if they forced me to go through CUDL. Even though my credit union participates in CUDL that still meant I had to jump through a bunch of hoops on my end to cancel the preauthorized loan application I already had open in order to go through CUDL which also caused additional stress and took my time to deal with. In the end I did end up buying the vehicle. The only reason I did was because it was the exact vehicle I wanted. I had a deal pending on another vehicle out of state and honestly if that vehicle had been an identical unit I would have told Buick GMC of Beaverton to pound sand and bought that one instead. Even though the total cost would have been $1600 higher due to transportation costs I still would have done it just out of spite. It's really a shame they pulled these shenanigans that dealers are known for. Everything else about the process at this dealership was great. I would have left a 5-star review if they hadn't pulled this BS.

This was a quick deal we mostly did remote. Mike G was super helpful and efficient! Worked with me on details with no pushback. Will buy again from this dealership!
