Shopping for a vehicle at Auto Fleet in Spartanburg, South Carolina? Follow these steps to buy with confidence.
Pull the vehicle history report
Run a CARFAX or AutoCheck report using the VIN before you visit. Look for accident history, odometer rollbacks, and title brands like salvage or flood. Ask Auto Fleet if a report is available for any listing.
Take a thorough test drive
Drive on both city streets and the highway. Accelerate hard. Brake firmly. Listen for any clunks, vibrations, or warning lights. Test the AC, heat, and all electronics during the drive.
Inspect for hidden wear
Check for uneven panel gaps, mismatched paint, or overspray — signs of past bodywork. Push on each corner of the car to test the shocks. Look underneath for frame damage, fluid leaks, or rust.
Get a pre-purchase inspection
Have a trusted mechanic inspect any used vehicle before you buy. A $100–$150 PPI can uncover issues that save you thousands. Ask Auto Fleet if a third-party inspection is permitted.
Negotiate the out-the-door price
Focus on the total out-the-door price, not the monthly payment. Understand every fee on the sales contract before signing. Dealer add-ons like paint protection and VIN etching are negotiable at Auto Fleet.
Auto financing is competitive. A little preparation before visiting Auto Fleet in Spartanburg, South Carolina puts you in a stronger position.
Typical Loan Terms
48 to 72 months is most common. Shorter terms cost less in total interest.
Down Payment

My interactions with this team were genuine and honest.....not what you may expect from a used car dealer. We dealt with Garrett and he was outstanding to work with. They do what they say they will do and stand behind their products. I highly recommend
These folks are the best! Especially Danny... He's a good honest man. He sold us a Kia Sedona van and even though there were a few mix ups on both our parts Danny and the owner Roger handled things very professionally and very kindly. You don't find good car dealers that will treat you this well very often! I highly recommend this dealership for your vehicle needs!
I purchased a Nissan Pathfinder from this dealership less than two weeks ago and paid an additional $500 for a 90-day powertrain warranty. At first, I felt like I got a fair deal upfront. However, since buying the vehicle, several issues have surfaced. First, the roof trim came loose, which I had to glue back myself. Then, I discovered that the rear door handle was broken—a detail I missed during my inspection, so I had to fix that as well. And this morning, I realized the power steering fluid is definitely bad, which may require me to spend $2,000 to $3,000 to replace the pump entirely. It's evident to me that this vehicle was not properly inspected by a certified professional before it was listed for sale. The "computer readout" they provided, showing old diagnostic codes, was apparently from the previous owner, as they didn’t even bother to run it themselves. I take full responsibility for trusting these people—Alvin, in particular, was great to work with—but unfortunately, this dealership refuses to stand behind their products. They are doing everything possible to avoid covering repairs that, in my opinion, should have been addressed before the car was listed for sale. Who sells a car with bad fluids, broken trim, and a faulty rear door handle—something that could have potentially trapped my kids? To make matters worse, although I paid for the warranty in full to cover issues like this, they are politely refusing to cover any of the repairs because they "aren't engine or powertrain related." While Alvin tried his best, he has no authority to make decisions for customers, which is frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I wouldn’t call my car a lemon since it does run, but the lack of accountability and customer support is unacceptable. The only reason I’m giving this dealership one star instead of zero is because of Alvin’s efforts. So, thanks, but no thanks—save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else!
Nothing but high praise for this family business. My husband, myself and two year old drove a little over two hours to test drive a truck my husband saw on their website. The moment we arrived they were welcoming and patient with us. They have a great selection of vehicles and the trade in process was smooth. I never get that with bigger dealerships. We put a deposit down because we weren’t able to take it home that day. My husband and I came back to pick it up a few days later and they had it ready for us. They even asked were our daughter was and that she was the highlight of their day. Just a great business and great people. Great selection of newer-used vehicles and older vehicles too. Highly recommend and will definitely be back when we are on the search for another vehicle.
Amazing service. Very helpful and friendly. No pressure like most dealerships. Honest and family owned business. Highly recommend. Mr. Tinsley is awesome. There needs to be more people and businesses in this world like at this place!!!
