From start to finish, my experience with Pine Belt Mazda was top notch. It wasn't long ago that I worked in the business, so I know how a positive or negative experience can really make or break a deal. I dealt with two other dealerships when shopping for my CX-5 (one local, one in South Jersey). Pine Belt, far and away, beat out the competition. To begin with, it's a beautiful dealership. After working most of my deal remotely, my car was detailed, ready, and waiting for me. Matt Clifton was easy to deal with, prompt and straight forward. Anthony Velasquez was communicative, friendly, and efficient (even in the bitter cold!). Let's not forget Kwesi Quansah. He was pleasant to deal with, and in the finance office, that's something any good dealership needs. No ego! My appointment lasted all of 45 minutes, and I was impressed the whole way through. We just leased a brand new Mazda CX50 from Pine Belt Mazda this evening, and everything went very smoothly. I initially dealt with Matt Clifton, the general sales manager, via email over several days, and he offered to match the sales price that was advertised at a different Mazda dealership that was several hours away from us. Matt was also very quick to respond to all my email inquiries and requests in a timely manner. By matching the price from the other Mazda dealership, Matt saved us from traveling almost 3 hours one way had we chosen the other Mazda dealership to lease a CX50. Upon arriving at the dealership, Matt personally dealt with us and worked the numbers to get where we wanted to be for the final lease numbers. He did not pressure us in any way, and our sales person, Christian, was also the same… very nice, very informative about the vehicle, and he also did not pressure us to make a decision. Once we agreed upon the numbers with Matt, everything else also went smoothly (insurance, finance, etc.)…and we were out the door with a new vehicle within 45 minutes after agreeing to the final numbers. We appreciated that Matt, as the general sales manager, dealt with us personally as he is the one who eventually has to sign off on the deal. As such, we didn’t have to go back-and-forth via the sales person as the intermediary as happens in almost all auto dealerships. Overall, we were greatly pleased with the professionalism, friendliness, and overall care we received from the start of the process to the very end of the process from both Matt and Christian. We would highly recommend any potential Mazda new car customers to contact Matt if they are considering purchasing a new Mazda, and we would also recommend Christian as your sales person at the dealership. FYI…there is another Mazda dealership that is much closer to where we live (~ 20 minutes from our home), but they never followed-up after our initial phone discussion. Thus, I am looking forward to them calling me at the end of this Thanksgiving week when they have to hit their sales quotas and imagining the look on their faces when I tell them they lost a sale due to their lack of professionalism, lack of follow-up, and poor customer service, as well as telling them that traveling over an hour to get our new CX 50 from Matt and Christian was well worth the long drive 😝
