Nice, honest dealer. Got a very clean low mileage 2011 RAV4. Love it! There are some things that have come up but that’s expected with an older vehicle…I’ve had this beauty for over a year now and still love it!

Update 1/9/2026 This review is easy for me. It's a little unique in the fact I don't have the car yet. I bought a car from Rachael and Dave about a month ago and was so overly satisfied with everything I committed to buying another one we saw online. We're on vacation and when something perfect for our needs appeared I called Rachael and made the arrangement without hesitation. While making this type of purchase isn't unusual it's missing some things. Apprehension, reluctance, fear and stress. In a world where purchasing a T shirt online fills you with some level of all of those I have none of that in buying a car from them without seeing it. The only reason for this is unthinkable trust. I can't convey enough good about all of what they do and sell to take a person to this level. Foreign territory for me and it feels great. Can't wait to meet my blind date! ( Last review edited for length requirements ) PINCH ME Pinch me is a phrase used to express disbelief that something wonderful or surprising is actually happening. I am fresh off of this type of experience and want to share these thoughts. Key points to note: They are an established business with a proven track record for over thirty years. I am a very discerning seasoned car buyer and knowledgeable car guy who is always looking for the sweetheart deal without wading through all the muck of cars purchased at auctions with a troubled past then rolled on a lot with two coats of tire shine and a balloon tied to it. Knowing the source of the vehicles they sell and how they are cherry picked is very comforting. Read the 'about us' on their site along with the testimonials and Google reviews. I can verify the truth in all of the glowing reports. I drove an hour and forty five minutes and I experienced all of what you read and did buy a car. Everything I had hoped for transpired with a sugar coating. I left there elated about my decision to buy from Rachael and Dave. I wasn't prepared to not want to leave and now can't wait to go back. Fabulous experience. These people are uniquely different, have remarkable values and it shows. They did not ask me to do a review and did not know I would. This is genuine. I like to believe that I am a fair and honest person seeking to surround myself with the same kind of people especially when it comes to making a large purchase. Mission accomplished. If you pass up the opportunity to buy or at least give them a chance it will be one of the biggest mistakes you'll ever make.

These people are awesome!!! You won’t find more honest and caring people in the auto industry. They treated me and my wife so well, they even looked at a car I was buying from someone else and gave a fair and honest opinion. I then called to get my wife’s brakes done and Rachel got us in the same day. Jordan their mechanic is so knowledgeable but doesn’t make you feel stupid. He does what needs to be done at a very fair price. Oh and he got my wife car done in two hours! Honest fair and caring, you won’t find anyone better. Period.

Rachael Dornack at Akron Auto Sales was absolutely phenomenal, starting from my very first call for directions to get to the lot until several days later when I drove away with my car. Though I was running late getting to the lot she allowed extra time after normal closing time to assist me. She was always relaxed and professionally friendly. Several things stand out about this family owned business. The entire staff listens intentently to every concern. For example after a test drive of the car not only Rachael but also the two mechanics that were working in the service bays came out to listen to everything I was saying. I was assured that each concern would be properly addressed. I've never had a "team" actively listen and communicate that everthing would be taken care of, that was refreshing. Kudos to those mechanics. Another impressive thing was that Rachael was confident in the condition of their autos because they choose them carefully themselves. She was relaxed and never once pushy or attempting to deliver any cheesy sales lines. She knows the cars speak for themselves to a large degree. Would I purchase another car from Akron Auto Sales? Absolutely YES. Would recommend them? YES. I really enjoy driving the high quality Toyota 4Runner I bought there.

When I was tasked to help a friend of mine find a car with certain stipulations, I thought it would be nearly impossible to find. After weeks of looking, we finally found this gem on their lot for an incredible price. I immediately went out to look at it for my friend, and I was greeted by Rachel, who went above and beyond to help my friend get this car. After over a week with issues with my friends bank, Rachel worked with us and was super super patient and even put a full tank of gas in the car when we picked it up. Overall this was a seamless car buying experience, and Rachel made it so easy and stress free. The car is amazing by the way. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality used car with great customer service!! Update- We had a small issue with the car, so we called Rachel, and she told us to bring the car back to take a look at it. She fit us in immediately to get the small issue fixed for us and within 1.5 hours we were out the door with the car fixed with no penny out of our pocket. She truly stands by her cars and knows how to take care of customers!
