Mind-boggling the lengths the staff at #1 Cochran Volkswagen go through for the customer. I just bought a 2025 VW Golf GTI SE from Cochran and I am completely in love with my car. I’m a lifelong VW person and thought I had a pretty decent knowledge of VWs. I was wrong. I am in awe of the walking encyclopedias (old-school carbon- [wood pulp] based pre-Google fonts of knowledge) each of the salespersons at Cochran are on the subject of VWs, new and old. And when I say they were running - RUNNING - all over the property to get answers to my questions or to help me, and that it was as hot as hades with burning sunshine that day, I’m not exaggerating. Thank you Jackson Corey (a star), Mike Heffley, and Scott O’Brien for convincing me I am their only VW customer in the world (you made me feel that special). Before that steamy day in late July, I used to say I’d rather have a root canal than go through the grueling process of buying a new car. Thank you for restoring my faith in the process. Terrible dealership to deal with. Tried to buy a preowned Jeep cash no trade in. They told me they will not negotiate on used cars. That is BS if you know the car business at all. You have bottom line that needs to be met if it sits to long, off to auction at a loss to remove from the lot. Tried reaching a sales manger not available to talk. Terrible way to do business will buy my car else where. Shame I purchased a used GMC truck from Monroeville Cochran did run into any of this. They where happy to talk to me and make a quick cash sale... Anyways other places to buy cars that's for sure... Response to owner: As a professional business you need to know your customers not all are the same. If someone walks in with a cash to buy and an 850 credit score maybe you should spend the time to talk with them to reach a deal yes negotiate! If the buyer believes you are to high and has proof of that looking at the cars value in KBB and other sources. Not all buyer are the same, so one policy does not fit all. hiding behind a company written polices will not get you happy customers. You need to listen to your costumers "be client friendly" and at a minimum try to meet/negotiate to there needs. Don't hide behind company one size fits all polices...
I recently bought a 2022 Taos from here and I have to say this is a A+ dealership from beginning to the end. Tons of communication with my sales person Austin and finance Lizzy to an amazing service department. I had what we’ll call a mishap with my vehicle 4 days after I bought it and Mike in service got it in immediately had everything gone over and corrected. They drove my wife to and from work since she took it for me. I couldn’t ask for a better experience, especially after the dealership I dealt with on the car I bought prior to this. Keep up the great work!!!!
My wife and I had a wonderful experience at this dealership. We visited the dealership and took a car we were interested in for a test drive. Ryan Mallen who was with us did a wonderful job explaining to us the different features of the car. After the drive we stated that we are in contact with other VW dealerships as well and will do business with whoever made the best offer. As we moved to the next stage of the buying process, Seth (manager), contacted and to let us know he found a brand new car that was on its way to the dealership that had the features we were interested in. He made an offer closer our budget but then counter offered a couple of times to match offers from the other VW dealership for the same car with the same features. We ended buying the car that was shipped. We had a great experience! I recommend this dealership if you are interested in buying a VW.
Wonderful people and easy/smooth sales process! Mike sold me my vehicle, I also worked with Ryan and Scott at the dealership. Everyone was wonderful to work with and made me comfortable while making my decision. They were super welcoming and polite and I did not feel pushed at all (which is always what deters me from situations like that). I’ll be happy to go back and see the folks at Cochran Wexford for services and highly recommend them to everyone! Thanks guys 🙂
