My experience at Mad City Power Sports was by far the easiest and most enjoyable power sports purchase to date. I located a Kawasaki KLX140R in their inventory on their website. I contacted them and was given an out the door price within minutes, which was more than fair. We got in the truck, made the 90 minute drive, and arrived with it ready to go, along with all necessary paperwork. Matt executed everything flawlessly, and if not for the wonderful conversation and time spent going over the dirt bike, this transaction was handled in minutes. These guys are awesome!
The gang at the dealership are top rate. Jeremy especially, he handled my purchase every step of the way. I purchased over the internet from Alaska and drove there to pick up my new Goldwing. I just can’t say enough about how amazed I was with the attention to detail and warm customer service all the way. Jeremy made me welcome from the first time we talked tell I took delivery. Jeremy is an asset to the company. I would highly recommend Mad City Powersports for any and all of your needs.
My wife and I purchased a CanAm Spyder from Mad City, great professional team, got us all set up with a great trike. I would definately recommend these guys, super happy
Found my prefect sled at the end of the season for a great price! Kyle and Matt were great answering all my questions and concerns about purchasing a machine 6 hours from my home. Sledding with my sisters, our ages 62, 72, and 66! Woo Hoo we all love the sled!
Purchased a snowmobile here last weekend and the experience exceeded my expectations! Matt in sales and rest of the staff were so friendly, informative and helpful throughout the entire process! I will be a repeat customer and highly recommend this place!

Buying a snowmobile from Mad City Powersports in Deforest, Wisconsin? Use this checklist to avoid costly surprises.
Inspect the track and slides
Lay the sled on its side and check the track for cracks, missing lugs, or cuts. Pull the track away from the slides and check for wear groove depth — worn slides increase drive noise and reduce efficiency.
Check the hood and tunnel for damage
Cracks in the hood or tunnel can signal a past crash. Look for mismatched or faded plastic, which often means replacement panels were installed after damage.
Inspect the carbides and skis
Carbide runners on the ski underside provide steering. Worn carbides (less than 3/16" remaining) reduce handling on packed snow. Ski replacement is inexpensive, but factor it into your offer.
Check coolant and oil
Pull the coolant reservoir cap and oil tank dipstick. Milky coolant signals water contamination. Low or dirty oil signals deferred maintenance. Ask ${dealerName} for service records.
Ask about storage and season history
A properly stored snowmobile — fuel stabilized, fogged engine, battery maintained — will start and run far better than one that sat neglected. Ask Mad City Powersports about the unit's storage and riding history.
Snowmobile financing is seasonal. Knowing the basics helps you get the best deal at Mad City Powersports in Deforest, Wisconsin before the riding season starts.
Typical Loan Terms
24 to 60 months is typical for snowmobile loans.
Down Payment
10% to 20% down is standard. Off-season purchases sometimes qualify for promotional rates.
Pro Tip
Get pre-approved by your bank before visiting Mad City Powersports — it gives you a rate to compare against dealer financing.
Manufacturer finance programs (Ski-Doo, Polaris, Arctic Cat) often offer zero-interest or low-rate deals in the off-season. Ask Mad City Powersports what programs are currently available. Buying in spring or summer often yields better financing deals than buying in fall.
