They sold me a brand new Lance camper that leaked badly. They also put air bags on my truck and ran one of the air lines next to the exhaust wh8ch melted it, I had to have it repaired on my own dime, they did not reimburse me. Neither Mattis or Lance would stand behind their products. Unscrupulous in business.
RUN FAST AND FAR AWAY! BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! I don't suggest buying anything from these guys. We had a horrible experience at Mattas. First, we got bait and switched (we should have know to run then, but we didn't). Their service advisor didn't want to help us with warranty issues, so we ended up going somewhere else to get it done. Their sales guy is either dishonest, or doesn't know his product. Either way, I suggest steering clear of Mattas. They're all nice people, just don't do business with them.
The worst experience, my husband and I were going with the intention of buying a camper and the salesman behaved horribly with us, if we asked him something he would get upset and answer angrily, he showed us 3 campers and we were interested in one that we were going to pay cash for we asked him if he had a certain type of deal or if we can negotiate the price and he answered us again angrily he said no. He turned around and left. I left the place and tried to call the manager to try to reach an agreement with him and the same salesman answered and recognized my voice and said that the manager was not there... Well, I went to Rocky Toppers & Campers and bought a Palomino, they do provide good service 100% recommended
This review is overdue coming. Back on April 24, 2019, I had stopped off in Fruita, CO on my way to Moab, UT and realized my hot water heater on my Lance camper was not working on propane. Not a good thing when you're about to dry camp for several days. So on the morning of the 25th, I ran back into Grand Junction and went to Mattas RV to see if they could take a look at it for me. That is exactly what they did and diagnosed it to be a bad circuit board on the hot water heater and replaced it for me saving my camping trip to Moab. Customer service to the brands you carry/service is greatly appreciated and reflects well on your dealership. The dealership in the Denver area lost my business over such an issue. Thanks Mattas!
This place is as shady as they come. IF you are brave enough to do business with them, new or used, absolutely, 100% insist on an independent inspection. I'd have them pay for it also. Good luck!
