Buyer beware…see update. Great, friendly service. I showed up at Kunes and they asked me if I wanted a sales person or if I wanted to browse on my own. Most places like this swarm you as soon as you get close. I took a look on my own then had a sales guy help me sort through the ones I was interested in. He didn’t try to steer me toward more expensive units, he didn’t try any sort of sales pitch, he just answered my questions and made suggestions. Overall great experience. Update. I bought the Kodiak. I had a blowout on the very first trip. I expressed concern about the tires before I purchased the unit and I was basically blown off and told they “looked fine”. The blowout caused significant damage to the fender as well as the underside of the camper. I was also told that the unit was inspected before I purchased it and that the spare tire was new. When I took the tire cover off, there was a wasp nest inside, so either no one inspected it or they didn’t care about the condition of it. The first night I hooked it up, water started leaking from under the fridge. I took the access panel off (two screws) to find where the leak was coming from and found mouse droppings all over. I didn’t expect this unit to be pristine, it’s not brand new. However, when the dealer tells me that it has been inspected, I trust that an inspection has been done. I’m not sure what was inspected but clearly the water line and spare tire were not. I texted my concerns and no one bothered to reach out to me on any of it. I had planned on going back to Kunes to purchase a destination trailer but after this experience, I’m not sure I can trust them. I doubt I’ll be back.
BUYERS BEWARE!!!! I purchased a used camper from Kunes in August last year . I didn't get to take it out immediately after I purchased it so this is why I'm posting a delayed review . First I want to start with after buying the camper . Paying a 500.00 service fee . ( They tried to get 1000.00 out of me ) ... I picked up the camper 4 days after I paid so it could be " serviced " for the gas and water leak that was reported and the hitch jack replaced cause it was bent . I pick the camper up . I kept smelling sewage. Battery way dead . Bought a new one and checked the tank levels . Both the black water and sewage tanks we both full . I returned the next morning to have the dump the previous owners waste out of my new camper . Then drove it home to Texas . I had only a 30 day temp tag from them and I waited and waited on my title . I called numerous times asking where it was . They finally emailed back that is was mailed out . I waited . No title . I called . Got the tracking number . I tracked it and it was in route . Waited . Tracked it again and it was delivered. To an old address at a RV park I visited over 3 years ago . So I called again . They got ahold of the RV park in Florida and thank God was able to get the title sent to the proper address. BUT ... during that time . My wife and I decided to drive down to the coast for a week vacation with the camper . We get there I hook up the water lines . Turn the valves on and I have got water leaking from every end of that camper . Under the bed from the water pump that was cracked in half . All over the back in the bathroom from the water heater tank split in half . Withing a minute the whole camper was flooded . NOTHING on the paper work I have was ever fixed . The sewage tanks were full of someone else's feces . It cost me hundreds of dollars to fix and replace everything that was never serviced . The camper was used and sold as a commission sale and I can almost bet you they did not disclose the price I paid for it or they charged for the " Repairs " they didn't do ... Now that I have a title in the previous owners name I'll be getting in contact with them and find out .... These people are shady and I highly recommend do not trust them to do what they say they will . Check everything before you pull off that lot with your camper ...
We have nothing bad to say about our experience at KUNES in Neenah. From Matt, the salesman we dealt with through Ryan, the service tech that did our walk through, and everyone in between. We would like to thank them and let them know that we appreciate how easy it was to talk to each of them. We were made to feel very comfortable with the purchase. We can’t wait to start our next camping season, in a new camper.
We went to several dealerships and while the others were pleasant enough, Zach from the Neenah Kunes location went above and beyond to get us exactly what we were looking for and stayed in our budget. I would definitely recommend Kunes!! It was a great shopping experience.
