Just purchased a new motorhome from General RV in South Weber, Utah Positives: Sales staff was not pushy or pressuring The walk through was done well with motorhome plugged in and water available. Slides were open and TV’s up and running. We were able to identify several items that needed repair or adjustment. Our host documented all our requests and past them on to service department. The motorhome was clean during our inspection. Our finance guy (Scott) was pleasant and listened to our requests. All the individuals we worked with or interacted with were very nice and respectful. Negatives: After purchase, discovered engine battery was not new or correct size and in fact, was so filthy I and my mechanic could not read the battery install date. I had to replace it at a cost of $220. Someone had swapped out the new one and replaced it with a used one. This probably did not occur at the South Weber dealership in that this motorhome was originally at the Mesa, AZ dealership and delivered to Utah on my request. This was one of the very few things I did not inspect on walk through. Tires were under inflated at 70 psi when recommended tire pressure is 90 psi cold. You would think the service department would take to time to check, what is a very important safety issue, and have tires up to correct psi.

I took my rv to general rv to have some work done for a recall, they had to order part and would only take an hour to replace. I showed up and no part was not ordered I would have to leave it. I needed my rv in a couple of days.I drove 100 miles round trip for nothing wasted time and money very disappointing!

Just bought a new Brinkley RV from this dealership. The process started out good , they have a nice facility, a good selection and we liked both sales people we worked with. Once we decided which model we wanted is when it went down hill fast. To get their final price during the negotiations they asked for a credit card? That should have been enough of a red flag for us to walk away. $2000 non refundable to get their “ best price”! The trailer was at another General RV. The next day when we were able to go look at the trailer we found that it wasn’t as described to us during the negotiations. The hitch, batteries and bed size were not what we were told. It had a white over spray covering most of the front cab, no one can decide exactly what it is. They tried to remove it and failed. The absolute worst part is we found the actual MSRP sheet in the trailer which was different than the doctored one they gave us during negotiations by almost $4000 Stay away from this dishonest, unethical company!!

Scott was amazing despite him knowing that we weren't currently buying anything he wasn't rushing us and being pushy. He helped us look at the exact stuff we were looking for and helped us find out exactly what we wanted! Overall great experience with free hot chocolate or coffee after walking in the cold!

Where do I start. We had paid a deposit and needed to reschedule our appointment to finalize everything. We were criticized and treated like an employee. That the rep had some personal something and we had to keep "his" appointment or they were going to give the unit to someone else. The unit they had talked so highly of is where the 1 star comes from. They wanted us to finalize all the payment and paperwork before showing us the trailer. When we pulled up to get it connected it wouldn't work and a fork lift was brought out to set the hitch. Some of the tail lights weren't working and there were stray wires hanging from underneath the trailer. We were reassured all was well. We drove away 3 hours and during which we lost the panel protecting the hot water heater. It was at this point we started finding the flies TONS AND TONS OF DEAD FLIES! They were crammed into every nook and crevice a fly could fly into. Thousands of them. We filled 3" of a shop vac sucking up dead flies. It was horrifying. Then come to find out the mattress was not a trailer mattress but had been replaced with a standard residential type. I'm convinced they sold us a trailer someone DIED in. The AC didn't work and we can't plug in to any shore power that is GFCI protected or it trips immediately. Turning on the heater still reeks of burning flies. After comparing what I paid to the KSL classifieds, I feel like a fool for trusting General RV to treat me like a valued customer. They certainly did not.
