The work to our was finished completely and on time. Brian our service advisor was very helpful communicated well keeping us informed throughout the process. We are pleased that we bought our second RV from General. Their service department is far more professional than our previous dealer.
Run! Don't walk from this place! They sold us a lemon. We bought a 2023/2024? Nexxus viper in 2024. I use the question mark because the windshield sticker and the bumper sticker didn't agree. The camper was never used though. Now we suspect they used our camper for spare parts and put subpar ones back in! Our RVMP generator worked fine for walk through but died only a few days later. Of course they don't work on generators, they said. So we took it elsewhere to be fixed but it was so bad, nobody could fix it. So I contacted the generator company and they immediately said they have not installed these in Nexxus since 2021. Well, surprise. The generator was manufactured in 2021. Was it swapped out? Who knows. Fortunately RVMP immediately shipped us a FREE brand new one because they..."wanted to keep us safe!" Now that is a company with integrity! General RV never fixed one thing from our walk through...oh it was promised but any parts never came in, and they never returned our phone calls. They also claimed to put an Azdel material on our camper, which I seriously doubt they ever did. They didn't do the things we could see; I doubt they did the thing we couldn't see. And believe me, that Azdel wasn't cheap. In not even 2 years, we've replaced the thermostat, the heater main board, the ac, blinds which fell down. There was also a smart tv in the bedroom but a dumb? TV above the cab. We suspect it was also switched out. I truly can't say enough bad about this company. When I talk to those other companies now fixing my 100K lemon, they say, yeah...we've heard about them *eye rolls* Thank God we were smart enough not to buy the offered 12k RV extended warranty for any issues; I don't trust their integrity or their ability to call back. I frankly wouldn't let them work on my scooter. Now they have a new facility, and lots of acres of new RVs. Oh, they'll sell you one, but after that, you're on your own. Do yourself a favor and just look elsewhere. We were stupid and didn't believe the reviews either. Oh and if you are General RV, don't call or text us. Why start now?
🚨 BUYER BEWARE – GENERAL RV ELIZABETHTOWN, PA 🚨 General RV in Elizabethtown, PA knowingly sold us a defective unit that should never have passed pre-delivery inspection. We purchased this RV in August 2025. By October 2025, it was already back in the shop—where it has remained. Serious and dangerous defects include: • Slides deploying while driving • Refrigerator ripping loose from its enclosure THREE times • Severely misaligned siding on both sides . Master Bedroom floors spongy . Master Bed came off the frame and the frame shattered . Caps missing from slides Forest River scheduled Lippert to go out and inspect the unit and we requested to he present and Lippert and General RV agreed - to our surprise Lippert came out 2 days early and we weren’t notified and was not told by Amanda that they weed there until after they left - we find this deceptive as well and we were told by Amanda that Lippert would call us to discuss their findings which they never did … Amanda told us that Lippert confirmed the frame is NOT bent. However, the cab built by Forest River on top of that frame is CROOKED, with gaps as wide as 4–6 inches. This is a manufacturing failure—plain and simple. These defects were either missed or ignored by General RV during inspection. Slide caps are missing, along with multiple other critical components. This RV was never road-ready. Despite this unit being only 5 months old and fully under warranty, and obviously a defected unit - General Rv service manager Amanda’s response was essentially: “The frame isn’t bent, so it’s safe—come pick it up.” She even stated in a email this is a “busy time for us” as justification for refusing proper repairs. Let that sink in: They admit the cab was built crooked, yet still expect us to take possession and accept it. Once they had our money, customer safety and accountability disappeared. We are publicly documenting this experience so other buyers are warned before trusting General RV or Forest River. My husband and I would like to let Missy Hoffman’s management know she was extremely helpful in dealing with our camper. However, we have had our 2024 Vita Winnabago at the Elizabeth General RV since December 11. We came to pick it up Jan 30, 2026. My husband drove our camper approximately 20 minutes and the camper slide out was moving in out. This was supposed to be fixed. This is the third time this has been worked on. We have had this brand new camper since March 2024. It has been at this RV Center for different problems for over 6 months. I find this very unacceptable. The ad with this dealer advertises they are a family and want to treat their customers as family. I don’t feel we have had very good service at this dealership. Ray & Judy Chronister
We bought a new destination rv from general rv. 2025 43 roost Salem hemisphere. Was rushed through our walk thru because they had to shorten it due to not being able to get ready for our delivery time. We walked thru the unit and addressed our concerns to the rep I can't remember her name. She told us the fireplace in bedroom had the wrong remote or the battery was dead. Why wasn't this taken care of at the pdi after we did paperwork we were told everything was good to go and closed up and that she found the right remote. The unit doesn't even power on manually at the unit so how did she get it to work. Got it to destination spot to find latch in sliding door is broke the one outside led light had 30 little led in it but only 5 are lite the wood counter top in the master bedroom has something sticky spilled on it and takes the finish off if you try to wipe it. The refrigerator and freezer was supposed to have an ice maker but that is missing as well. I have contacted general rv several times about this along with sending pictures and they told me it would be taken care of. 3 weeks later service guy hangs up on me says he can't help me. Talked to parts manager and he stated he needed to work something out with service. It's been 5 weeks and no communication from general rv on this problem. It's a destination rv on permanent site I gave them plenty of pictures and descriptions of the problems but they want me to bring it in to take pictures and document problems. I even offered to do all labor and exchange defective parts for new ones when they came in. No response 😕
