Good, solid RVs, all sizes, including many caravans. Good, friendly staff who know how to squeeze a little extra money out of your pocket for extras. The RVs are very robust and reliable, and they're worth it with gas. Good handling, intelligent layout, functional interior, a bit worn. All functions worked flawlessly and had no failures. Very large refrigerator and a certain amount of basic equipment. Extras ordered, such as a folding chair and table, were of poor quality and very worn. The drainpipe was broken. For longer trips, I would order new equipment from various supermarkets in the future. The kitchen equipment was functional, but nothing more, and had already been used a few times. All in all: Reliable deal for RVs; buy extras like kitchen equipment and outdoor furniture yourself, don't rent!
We recently sold our trailer and I had to first time ever had to rent. El Monte customer service was great and helpful pick up process was smooth and RV itself looked great. Unfortunately the moment we drove off the issues arose. The refrigerator was inoperable. It couldn’t even keep our lunch meats cold. Our campsite had 3 other El Monte RV rentals that had similar issues or even more issues of their own but all of us had problems. Our rental was nearly infested with ants couldn’t leave even a ziploc bag of cookies in the cabinet these ants got in. We had $60 worth of Short ribs in the fridge they turned brown and were warm to the touch. Otter pops in the freezer were liquid not frozen what so ever. All ice cream bars were melted. There was a leak coming from the bathroom we assume the shower so we had to put down towels. To top it off the grey water tank was never dumped so when we got to the campsite it was already showing as full. It was 90 degrees where we went during the day the AC struggled heavily to maintain even 83 degrees in there could not get itself to stay cold even if we started the AC at 11am and kept the generator on all day. This was an awful experience and real shout out to El Monte they offered a $50 credit for the next use. Yeah no thank you, half of our food went spoiled and we couldn’t eat for half our trip luckily we had vendors we could drive to so we can eat for the trip. God forbid we were in a real camping location. Avoid these rvs !!!
Christina, Emmanuel, & Jesse were all great to work with. It was my first time renting an RV so everything was new from beginning to the end. The experience was great because the RV was clean, fueled and ready to go. The operating procedures were explained but I do recommend watching the video provided, especially for first timers. We will be sure to rent here again and have already advised family members and coworkers about El Monte RV. Thanks again and see you soon!
My family rented an RV from EL Monte RVs for 7 days and had a wonderful experience with the vehicle, it preformed amazingly with zero issues. Visited 3 states slept in the queen size bed nightly in comfort, this was the best vacation we have had in years, thanks for the wonderful memories. We will definitely be back as customers. We had a great overall experience with the LA branch of El Monte. From arranging an early pickup, to dealing with some minor body damage to the RV, the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. We were also given a pretty new rig, which was modern and had all the latest accoutrements, which was also a big plus. I would definitely recommend El Monte LA to anyone looking to rent an RV in the area.
