We encountered a potentially life-threatening incident with an RV rented from Cruise America. During the trip, our vehicle lost the rear axle / driveshaft, which led to an abrupt and dangerous situation. As a result, my wife continues to require medical treatment and ongoing physiotherapy. In addition, the RV had multiple technical failures: the generator, heating system, and battery were inoperative. Over a period of 12 days, we were provided with three different replacement vehicles, each with increasingly serious mechanical issues rather than improvements. This experience raises serious concerns regarding vehicle safety, maintenance standards, and quality control.

Friendly people, great RVs, easy drop off and pick up process. Definitely read the small print about calling and securing your pick up time. It said we could pick up anytime between 1-4pm, but there is no guarantee you’ll have it at the exact time they tell you since they need to clean and prepare the vehicles that get returned that day. We ended up arriving late to our destination because of it. Other than that, good service and would recommend.

So here's the deal, pickups are after 1 pm and drop-offs before 11 am. Most locations are closed Sundays, but hey, call ahead and maybe you'll get lucky with an early drop-off. Just remember, relocation RVs are old and worn, so inspect before renting, take a video, and check the water pump - trust us, you don't want any surprises. Experienced RV travelers can handle these $39/night rentals, but be prepared for potential issues - it's all part of the adventure, right? Wow! Just… Wow! We drove from Miami, Florida to Los Angeles, California. Nearly 7,000km without incident! Cruise America provided a well serviced and safe vehicle and we had a ball! The kids called our RV “Gilbert” (because of the first 3 letters, on the number plate being “GIL”) and that little RV became part of our family for 3 weeks. We traveled the entire continent in Gilbert and he kept us safe in sun and snow. We had air con for Florida and California but heating for the coldest of temperatures along our way. We hit snow in the Grand Canyon and Gilbert handled it with aplomb! Due to a freak winter storm, we were forced to drive for an hour through driving snow and Gilbert didn’t miss a beat! If you are trying to decide the best way to see America then look no further. Cruise America looked after us and made the entire experience brilliant! A once in a lifetime trip for a family from Australia and we are glad we entrusted Cruise America with our experience. We are sitting here, in LA, feeling a little deflated. We all miss Gilbert. He became part of our family 😢

Third time for us, renting from Cruise America. Good company, responsive if there is an issue they need to address.
