Every specification and price in this guide comes from Jayco's 2027 Jay Feather floor plan index and the 16 individual floor plan pages on jayco.com, read on 20 October 2026. The guide compares the plans on what a shopper can check before visiting a dealer: sleeping capacity, length, weights, cargo capacity, tank sizes and starting price. No trailer was inspected or towed for this guide.
Prices are Jayco's "starting at" MSRPs in US dollars. The build-and-price section of each Jayco floor plan page says the MSRP does not include freight and dealer prep charges. Lengths are Jayco's overall exterior lengths. Jayco also sells the Jay Feather Air, Jay Feather Air SL and Jay Feather SL as separate travel trailer lines with their own floor plans; they are not covered here.
The Jay Feather line runs from a 23-foot plan that sleeps four to a 37-foot plan that sleeps ten, and price generally rises with length.

Every 2027 Jay Feather weighs between 4,655 and 8,120 pounds unloaded, and Jayco rates them from 6,200 to 9,800 pounds GVWR. GVWR is the most the trailer is rated to weigh when loaded, so it is the number to compare with a tow vehicle's ratings, not the unloaded weight.
| 2027 floor plan | Unloaded weight | Dry hitch weight | GVWR |
| 18RBF | 4,655 lb | 490 lb | 6,200 lb |
| 19MRK | 4,885 lb | 555 lb | 6,400 lb |
| 21MBH | 5,510 lb | 625 lb | 6,995 lb |
| 21MML | 5,095 lb | 580 lb | 6,500 lb |

| 30RKB | 7,250 lb | 980 lb | 8,995 lb |
| 33BH | 8,120 lb | 910 lb | 9,800 lb |
Jayco lists unloaded vehicle weight (UVW) and dry hitch weight on each floor plan page. The 26FK carries the heaviest dry hitch weight in the line at 1,030 pounds, followed by the 30RKB at 980 pounds, even though neither is the heaviest trailer. Hitch weight changes as the trailer is loaded, so weigh the loaded trailer before relying on these figures.
Jayco lists a cargo carrying capacity for each floor plan, which equals GVWR minus unloaded weight. That is the room left for water, propane, gear and any options added after the trailer was weighed.
| 2027 floor plan | Cargo capacity | Gray tank | Black tank |
| 18RBF | 1,545 lb | 38 gal | 38 gal |
| 19MRK | 1,515 lb | 38 gal | 30.5 gal |
| 21MBH | 1,485 lb | 30.5 gal | 30.5 gal |

| 23MBD | 1,455 lb | 76 gal | 40 gal |
| 23RK | 1,635 lb | 61 gal | 30.5 gal |
| 24FK | 1,670 lb | 76 gal | 38 gal |
| 25BH | 1,585 lb | 76 gal | 38 gal |
| 25RB | 1,470 lb | 61 gal | 38 gal |
| 26FK | 1,490 lb | 90 gal | 30 gal |
| 27BH | 1,475 lb | 76 gal | 38 gal |
| 27MK | 1,760 lb | 70 gal | 30 gal |
| 29BHB | 1,645 lb | 68.5 gal | 30.5 gal |

Cargo capacity is closely matched across the line, from 1,405 pounds on the 21MML to 1,760 pounds on the 27MK. Gray tanks vary more, from 30.5 gallons on the 21MBH and 21MML to 98 gallons on the 30RKB. The 33BH is the only plan with a black tank larger than 40 gallons, at 68 gallons. Options installed at the factory or by a dealer count against cargo capacity, so ask for the weight label on the actual trailer.

All 16 floor plans share the items below, so the choice comes down mostly to layout, size and weight. Some other features in the mandatory packages are not available on every plan.
- Fresh water and hot water: a 55-gallon fresh water tank and an on-demand 60,000 BTU tankless water heater.
- Mandatory packages: Jayco lists the Customer Value Package and the Jay Sport Package as mandatory. They include a 13,500 BTU ducted roof-mount air conditioner, an 11 cubic foot 12-volt refrigerator and the Overlander I solar package of one 200-watt panel with a 30-amp digital controller.
- Bed: a 60-by-80-inch queen bed, or a 60-by-76-inch bed on Murphy bed models (60 by 80 inches on the 23MBD). Jayco offers a 72-by-80-inch king bed on select models.
- Weather package: Climate Shield, which Jayco describes as zero to 100 degree tested weather insulation.
- Roof: a PVC roofing membrane with a limited lifetime warranty.
The optional Premier Package adds a power five-point stabilization system, dual MaxxAir vent fans and solid-surface kitchen countertops, and is listed at $2,243 on the floor plan pages. Jayco says it reserves the right to change and discontinue models and features without notice, so check the build sheet for the trailer you are buying.
A Jay Feather should be matched to your tow vehicle using the trailer's GVWR and loaded hitch weight, not its unloaded weight. A loaded 29QBH, for example, could weigh up to 8,995 pounds, which is 1,660 pounds more than its 7,335-pound unloaded weight.
- Write down the GVWR and dry hitch weight of the floor plan you want from the tables above.
- Read your tow vehicle's towing rating, payload label and combined weight rating for its exact configuration.
- Remember that hitch weight counts against the vehicle's payload, along with passengers and cargo, and that it changes as the trailer is loaded.
- Ask the dealer for the weight label on the specific trailer, since options add weight.
For the full method, read the Searchshop guide to the best trucks for towing a travel trailer, which covers payload, tongue weight and truck configuration.
The right Jay Feather depends on how many people sleep aboard, how long a trailer your campsites and storage allow, and how much your tow vehicle can handle.
- Couple wanting the smallest trailer: start with the 18RBF or 19MRK.
- Couple wanting more room: compare the 24FK and 26FK.
- Family of up to six on a lighter tow vehicle: the 21MBH.
- Family of eight or more: start with the 25BH or 27BH, then the 29BHB, 29QBH and 33BH if you need more length and capacity.
- Want the most gray tank capacity: look at the 30RKB and 26FK, at 98 and 90 gallons.
Shopping a used Jay Feather? Floor plan codes change over the years, so a code that is not in the tables above may belong to an earlier lineup or to a separate Jay Feather line. Jayco keeps archived pages for earlier model years; read the specifications for that year before comparing it with a 2027 plan.
To compare Jayco with other makers, read Jayco vs Forest River or Grand Design vs Jayco. For another lineup set out the same way, see Grand Design Imagine floor plans, and for general advice on size and inspection, the travel trailer buying guide.
