The Grand Design Imagine travel trailer comes in 11 floor plans for 2027, from the 26-foot-6-inch 2300MK at $56,034 to the 36-foot-11-inch 3210BH at $74,265. Families should start with the four bunkhouse plans, couples with the 2300MK and 2700BS, and weight-conscious buyers with the four plans rated at 7,850 pounds GVWR.
At a glance
- Grand Design lists 11 Imagine floor plans for the 2027 model year, with starting prices from $56,034 to $74,265 before freight, tax, title, license and dealer prep.
- The 2470BH, 2800BH, 2810BH and 3210BH list bunk beds, and Grand Design rates the 2800BH to sleep 10, the most of any Imagine.
- The four shortest plans carry a 7,850-pound GVWR, while the seven longer plans carry 10,195 pounds.
- Subtracting dry weight from GVWR leaves from 1,161 pounds on the 2470BH to 3,015 pounds on the 2700BS for water, gear and options.
- Grand Design's lineup page marks the 3100RD and 3210BH as dealer stock only.
Every specification and price in this guide comes from Grand Design's own Imagine lineup page and its 11 floor plan pages, read on 19 October 2026. Each floor plan page names the trailer as a 2027 Imagine. The guide compares the plans on what a shopper can check before visiting a dealer: sleeping capacity, length, weight ratings, slide-outs, tank sizes and starting price. No trailer was inspected or towed for this guide.
Prices are Grand Design's starting MSRPs. Grand Design says they do not include freight, tax, title, license or dealer prep charges, and that dealers alone set selling prices. Grand Design also sells the Imagine AIM and Imagine XLS as separate travel trailer lines with their own floor plans; they are not covered here.
The Imagine line runs from a 26-foot-6-inch plan that sleeps four to a 36-foot-11-inch bunkhouse that sleeps eight, with prices rising roughly with length.
| 2027 floor plan | Sleeps | Length | Starting MSRP |
| 2300MK | 4 | 26 ft 6 in | $56,034 |
| 2470BH | 6 | 29 ft | $61,197 |
| 2500RL | 6 | 29 ft 10 in | $63,655 |
| 2600RB | 6 | 29 ft 8 in | $60,916 |
| 2670MK | 6 | 32 ft 3 in | $66,997 |
| 2700BS | 2 | 31 ft 8 in | $66,822 |
| 2800BH | 10 | 32 ft | $62,522 |
| 2810BH | 5 | 32 ft 3 in | $69,847 |
| 2970RL | 6 | 34 ft 2 in | $72,384 |
| 3100RD | 6 | 35 ft 11 in | $71,126 |
| 3210BH | 8 | 36 ft 11 in | $74,265 |
Sleeping counts come from Grand Design's lineup specification table. The 2700BS floor plan page gives its sleeping capacity as two to four. Price does not always follow length: the 32-foot 2800BH starts below the 29-foot-10-inch 2500RL, and the 3100RD starts below the shorter 2970RL.

Every Imagine floor plan has a dry weight between 6,218 and 8,725 pounds, and Grand Design rates each one at either 7,850 or 10,195 pounds GVWR. GVWR is the most the trailer is rated to weigh when loaded, so it is the number to compare with a tow vehicle's ratings, not the dry weight.
| 2027 floor plan | Dry weight | Hitch weight | GVWR |
| 2300MK | 6,218 lb | 672 lb | 7,850 lb |
| 2470BH | 6,689 lb | 749 lb | 7,850 lb |
| 2500RL | 6,623 lb | 748 lb | 7,850 lb |
| 2600RB | 6,533 lb | 754 lb | 7,850 lb |
| 2670MK | 7,475 lb | 785 lb | 10,195 lb |
| 2700BS | 7,180 lb | 760 lb | 10,195 lb |
| 2800BH | 7,185 lb | 746 lb | 10,195 lb |
| 2810BH | 7,510 lb | 771 lb | 10,195 lb |
| 2970RL | 7,810 lb | 830 lb | 10,195 lb |
| 3100RD | 8,076 lb | 879 lb | 10,195 lb |
| 3210BH | 8,725 lb | 991 lb | 10,195 lb |
Grand Design lists dry weight as UVW (unloaded vehicle weight). The hitch weights are Grand Design's published figures. The weight on the hitch changes as the trailer is loaded, so weigh the loaded trailer before relying on it.
The gap between GVWR and dry weight is the room left for water, gear and dealer-added options. The figures below are Searchshop's calculation from Grand Design's numbers.
| 2027 floor plan | GVWR minus dry weight | Slide-outs | Gray tank |
| 2300MK | 1,632 lb | 1 | 82 gal |
| 2470BH | 1,161 lb | 1 | 82 gal |
| 2500RL | 1,227 lb | 1 | 82 gal |
| 2600RB | 1,317 lb | 1 | 82 gal |
| 2670MK | 2,720 lb | 2 | 82 gal |
| 2700BS | 3,015 lb | 2 | 90 gal |
| 2800BH | 3,010 lb | 1 | 82 gal |
| 2810BH | 2,685 lb | 2 | 82 gal |
| 2970RL | 2,385 lb | 2 | 90 gal |
| 3100RD | 2,119 lb | 2 | 90 gal |
| 3210BH | 1,470 lb | 2 | 90 gal |
The four 7,850-pound plans are the lightest Imagines, but they also leave the least room for cargo. The 2470BH, a six-sleeper, has 1,161 pounds of margin. The heavier 2800BH, which sleeps 10, has 3,010 pounds because of its higher GVWR. Options installed at the factory or by a dealer also count against the margin, so ask for the weight label on the actual trailer.
Four Imagine floor plans list bunk beds: the 2470BH, 2800BH, 2810BH and 3210BH. Each also lists a 60-by-80-inch main bed.
- Imagine 2470BH: two 47-by-76-inch bunks, sleeps 6, 29 feet long, one slide-out, from $61,197. It is the shortest bunkhouse and has a 7,850-pound GVWR.
- Imagine 2800BH: 47-by-76-inch bunks, sleeps 10, 32 feet long, one slide-out, from $62,522. It is the highest sleeping count in the line for $1,325 more than the 2470BH.
- Imagine 2810BH: 36-by-70-inch bunks, sleeps 5, 32 feet 3 inches long, two slide-outs, from $69,847.
- Imagine 3210BH: one 34-by-73-inch and one 30-by-73-inch bunk, sleeps 8, 36 feet 11 inches long, two slide-outs, from $74,265. It is the longest and heaviest Imagine and is marked dealer stock only.
The 2800BH and 3210BH are the choices for larger families. The 2800BH sleeps more for less money, while the 3210BH adds a second slide-out and a 90-gallon gray tank at a cost of nearly 5 feet more length and 1,540 pounds more dry weight.
The 2300MK and the 2700BS are the two Imagine floor plans built around fewer sleepers. They suit buyers at opposite ends of the size range.
- Imagine 2300MK: sleeps 4, 26 feet 6 inches long, one slide-out, a 60-by-80-inch queen bed, from $56,034. It is the shortest, lightest and lowest-priced Imagine, at 6,218 pounds dry.
- Imagine 2700BS: listed to sleep 2 in Grand Design's specification table, 31 feet 8 inches long, two slide-outs and a 90-gallon gray tank, from $66,822. It has the largest cargo margin in the line, at 3,015 pounds.
The 2300MK keeps length and weight down. The 2700BS trades about 5 extra feet for a second slide-out, a larger gray tank and nearly twice the cargo margin.
Five Imagine floor plans sleep six without listing bunks: the 2500RL, 2600RB, 2670MK, 2970RL and 3100RD. All five list a 60-by-80-inch queen bed.
- Imagine 2600RB: 29 feet 8 inches, one slide-out, 7,850-pound GVWR, from $60,916.
- Imagine 2500RL: 29 feet 10 inches, one slide-out, 7,850-pound GVWR, from $63,655.
- Imagine 2670MK: 32 feet 3 inches, two slide-outs, 10,195-pound GVWR, from $66,997.
- Imagine 2970RL: 34 feet 2 inches, two slide-outs, 90-gallon gray tank, from $72,384, the highest starting price in this group.
- Imagine 3100RD: 35 feet 11 inches, two slide-outs, 90-gallon gray tank, from $71,126, and marked dealer stock only.
The 2600RB and 2500RL are the pair to compare for a six-sleeper under 30 feet with one slide-out. The 2670MK, 2970RL and 3100RD add a second slide-out and a higher GVWR, and the last two add the larger gray tank.
All 11 floor plans share the same fresh and black tank sizes and the same standard solar package, so the choice comes down to layout, size and weight.
- Tanks: a 45-gallon fresh tank and a 45-gallon black tank on every plan; gray tanks are 82 or 90 gallons.
- Solar: Grand Design says a factory-installed 200-watt roof-mounted solar panel, a 30-amp charge controller and a 12-volt refrigerator are standard on all Imagines, and tells owners to "just add batteries."
- Bathroom access: Grand Design's table says every floor plan has bathroom access with the slides in.
- Height: 11 feet 2 inches or 11 feet 3 inches, depending on the plan.
Grand Design also describes heated and enclosed underbelly features and an industry-first anti-lock braking system for towables on its Imagine page. Check the build sheet for the trailer you are buying to see which packages and options it carries.
An Imagine should be matched to your tow vehicle using the trailer's GVWR and loaded hitch weight, not the dry figures in a brochure. A loaded 2800BH, for example, could weigh up to 10,195 pounds, which is 3,010 pounds more than its 7,185-pound dry weight.
- Write down the GVWR and published hitch weight of the floor plan you want from the tables above.
- Read your tow vehicle's towing rating, payload label and combined weight rating for its exact configuration.
- Remember that the hitch weight counts against the vehicle's payload, along with passengers and cargo, and that it changes as the trailer is loaded.
- Ask the dealer for the weight label on the specific trailer, since options add weight.
For the full method, read the Searchshop guide to the best trucks for towing a travel trailer, which walks through payload, axle ratings and combined weight.
The right Imagine depends on how many people sleep aboard, how long a trailer your campsites and storage allow, and how much your tow vehicle can handle.
- Family of five or more: start with the 2800BH, then the 3210BH if you want a second slide-out.
- Family of up to six on a tighter length or weight budget: the 2470BH bunkhouse.
- Couple wanting the smallest Imagine: the 2300MK.
- Couple wanting more space and cargo margin: the 2700BS.
- Six sleepers without bunks, under 30 feet: compare the 2600RB and 2500RL.
Shopping a used Imagine? Floor plan codes change over the years, so a code that is not in the tables above belongs to an earlier lineup or to the Imagine XLS or AIM. Ask for that model year's specification sheet before comparing it with a 2027 plan.

Four 2027 Imagine floor plans list bunk beds: the 2470BH, 2800BH, 2810BH and 3210BH. The 2800BH sleeps the most, at 10, and starts at $62,522. The 2470BH is the shortest bunkhouse at 29 feet. The 3210BH is the longest at 36 feet 11 inches and sleeps eight.
A 2027 Grand Design Imagine starts at $56,034 for the 2300MK and reaches $74,265 for the 3210BH, based on Grand Design's starting MSRPs. Those prices exclude freight, tax, title, license and dealer prep, and dealers set their own selling prices. Ask for an out-the-door figure before comparing offers.
A 2027 Grand Design Imagine weighs from 6,218 pounds dry for the 2300MK to 8,725 pounds dry for the 3210BH. Loaded, the four shortest plans are rated up to 7,850 pounds GVWR and the other seven up to 10,195 pounds. Use the GVWR, not the dry weight, when checking a tow vehicle.
