Creating a Listing
Step-by-step guide to listing your vehicle for sale.
Getting Started
Choose 'Sell' in the site navigation to begin a guided private-seller listing.
Select RV, boat, auto, cycle, ATV, or snowmobile and provide vehicle details, location, contact information, and at least two public HTTPS photo links.
Sign in or create a Searchshop account to save a draft, pay, and manage the listing. Your form progress is kept on your device while you sign in.
Payment does not publish a listing. Searchshop confirms payment and an administrator reviews it before it can appear in public search.
Choosing a Package
All private-seller packages are one-time payments. The package period starts when an approved listing is published.
Starter ($49): Up to 5 photos for 30 days.
Premium ($99): Up to 10 photos for 60 days.
Pro ($199): Up to 15 photos for 180 days.
Elite ($299): Up to 20 photos until sold.
A rejected listing stays private and Searchshop requests a full refund to the original payment method.
- Use clear, current photos and accurate vehicle information. Listings must pass review and the normal marketplace quality checks before publication.
Writing Your Description
Be honest and detailed about your vehicle's condition and history.
Highlight unique features, upgrades, and recent maintenance.
Include relevant specifications: length, weight, sleeping capacity, etc.
Mention any accessories or extras included in the sale.
Setting Your Price
Research similar listings to set a competitive price.
Consider your vehicle's condition, mileage, and local market.
Leave some room for negotiation - most buyers expect to haggle.
