Buying a motorcycle from Tulsa Powersports in Tulsa, Oklahoma? Follow this checklist before you commit.
Verify the title and VIN
Check the VIN on the frame, engine, and title to confirm they match. Run the VIN through a motorcycle history report. Tulsa Powersports should be able to provide documentation for any bike in their inventory.
Check the fork seals and bearings
Look for oil weeping down the fork tubes — a sign the seals need replacement. Grab the front wheel and push/pull firmly to check for play in the steering head bearings.
Inspect the chain and sprockets
A worn chain will have excess slack and the sprocket teeth will look hooked or pointed instead of rounded. Chain and sprocket replacement runs $200–$500. Factor that into your offer if it's needed.
Check tire age and tread depth
Look for the DOT date code on the sidewall — tires over five years old should be replaced regardless of tread. Tires are a safety item, not a cosmetic one.
Take a test ride
Confirm the clutch engages smoothly, the brakes feel firm, and the bike tracks straight at speed. Listen for valve noise, exhaust leaks, or electrical issues. A short test ride catches problems a visual inspection misses.
Motorcycle loans are typically shorter and more affordable than RV or boat loans. Here is what to know before financing through Tulsa Powersports in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Typical Loan Terms
36 to 60 months is most common for new motorcycles.
Down Payment
10% is typical. Some lenders offer zero-down for qualified buyers on new bikes.

I recently visited the showroom to see the bike I wanted to purchase. I was greeted and assisted by Brian, he seemed kind, and helpful. We briefly spoke about my potential trade in which I agreed to send pictures of for value. I got back home and sent in the pics with notes of one quarter sized dent and some clear coat peel. He responded “perfect! I will go to work on this for you” around 11:45am. I tried to check back in with him by 5pm since I hadn’t heard back. Got no response. This morning, I called to see if there was any progress and was transferred to Brian’s line. He didn’t answer so I left a voicemail asking if there was any progress and that I was ready to buy but haven’t heard back and that if I hadn’t heard anything in a few hours I would move in a different direction. At this point it’s been a few hours and I haven’t heard anything. I feel like I am getting ghosted. Which is crazy because my trade in offer doesn’t necessarily lower my interest in purchase. I feel like my experience so far is poor communication and lack of effort. I see other reviews of people raving about Jack helping them. Maybe if I was approached by Jack my experience might have been different.
Outstanding Buying Experience — Even From Over 1,000 Miles Away I’m currently in the process of purchasing a new motorcycle from Tulsa Powersports in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and the experience so far has been excellent. Living in Jacksonville, this purchase obviously requires a high level of trust since I can’t see or test the bike in person before delivery. That said, working with Jimmy Westerfield has been an absolute breath of fresh air. His communication, transparency, and follow-up have been top-notch from day one, which has made the long-distance buying process feel easy and stress-free. While I’m still looking forward to the delivery of my new motorcycle in the coming days, I have every confidence that the rest of the process will be just as smooth as the buying experience has been so far. I would absolutely recommend Tulsa Powersports, even for customers who live more than a thousand miles away. If you’re on the fence about buying remotely, this team proves it can be done the right way.
I just called to get a price on mounting a new front tire on my bike. Jimmy quoted me $72.50. that was the most ridiculous price quote I have received from any tire shop just to mount a tire which I have which isn't on the bike. They'll get it done in half an hour he said so at least they're fast but they'll break your wallet doing it. Will definitely not be taking my business to there now or anytime in the future.
The guys were great. They helped me get a crf that ive been wanting and were very easy to work with and really nice guys!
Experience at Tulsa power sports was excellent. I was taken care of by an excellent sales person and team management made sure that my purchase and selection was cared for with perfection. My experience with Jack as my salesman could not have been better.
