I had a great boat buying experience, thanks to Jessica! She was super easy to talk to, always quick to answer my questions, and knew her stuff. I had a Minn Kota Instinct trolling motor and Humminbird Solix added to my Robalo Cayman and am very happy with the installation. I live out of state which added some complexities with delivery and registration, but Jessica took care of everything.
After driving 2-1/2 hours to look at and test drive boat, I found the plug still in it. The aftermarket radio, amp, cranking and troll batteries completely submerged under water. I was told could not drive boat as owner was not in that day. Mind you that information could have been relayed to me prior to taking off work and traveling to view the boat. Left my name and phone number and did not get a call back for 2 days only to find out the boat had been sold 4 days prior to me going to look at the boat. Very Very disappointing!!!! Steer clear and if not don't have very high expectations!!!!
I purchased a boat from them in April 2025. I've purchased several boats over the years and this was by far the BEST experience I've had at a dealer. I traveled from GA to LA to purchase the boat (over 10 hours one way) BUT Jessica was able to answer any questions I had and she took care of every detail of the purchase before I arrived. I hope this is the last boat I'll ever own otherwise I'd keep buying boats from The Sportsman!!!
Today was a pure pleasure working w/Jessica at Sportsman to secure a brand new Robalo 160 in steel blue at a terrific price. She is the best genuine salesperson to do business with & offered to pick me up at the airport to take me to the truck rental so I could tow the boat back home. A true night and day difference from a previous bigger dealer I was working with.
Brought my boat to them for warranty work on the motor and received a call three days later letting me know that they found the issue and the part will be programmed and shipped to them. The people are very knowledgeable and nice to deal with.
