we have never experienced the exceptional service from a marina as we have from skipper buds. we have stored in chicago, and in waukegan, and are so happy to have been given the recommendation of storing in winthrop harbor now. these people actually know how to run a marina. after our previous experiences, we just came to expect things like launch delays, poor communication, loss of items like our princess pad, damages to our boat, etc etc. it is like a breath of fresh air to not have the anxiety of thinking are we actually going to get our boat out as promised. they are so helpful!!! they launched our boat a couple times due to some mechanical trouble we were having but was thankfully resolved. everywhere else i would have been told sorry your gonna be put onto ”next week” which would turn into 2-3 weeks. everyone knows once the season starts those weeks feel like years. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING EVERYTHING YOU GUYS DO!

Skipper Buds Winthrop Harbor is a full-service marina that does a great job. Having been a boater on the great lakes (Lake Michigan & Erie) for 55 years I’ve visited and used numerous marinas for service and storage. My experience with the team at Skipper Buds has always been positive and the service outstanding. Phil Mack, Service Coordinator/Manager, is knowledgeable and professional. Phil is timely with communication and his follow-up to work orders ensures that there are no surprises, and my boat is always ready for the spring launch. The Skipper Buds service team has worked on my boat’s electronics, air conditioners, engines & pods. All work has been top notch, and I have not experienced issues that required follow-up to address the initial service call. A special note about Keith for his knowledge, thoroughness and customer service. Keith understands boats, boat systems and owner’s expectations. The winter haul-out process is well coordinated, and the inside storage buildings are well lit and clean. My requested launch dates have always gone smoothly, and I have arrived at the marina to find my boat properly tied up and fenders well placed. If you are looking for a professionally run full-service marina for service and storage I highly recommend Skipper Buds Winthrop Harbor.
