Amanda was diligent in making the deal happen and getting the best deal for our trade in. Very honest, and knowledgeable . A pure delight. Her associate Jesse was a great team player as well. Very grateful so far. We’ll keep you updated when we get our Tri out on the water.
I would recommend this marina to anyone! They make dreams come true all the employees and sales staff made me and my wife feel like family!! Our boat was a very good price and the staff and sales treated us like we purchased a million dollar yacht and left us with a lot of boat knowledge!!!
Complete disappointment! I have been battling warranty issues from the moment of delivery. Broken clips on my cover- the sales manager knew about- they still delivered and waited for me to call them about…when I did, Steve admitted knowing the cover was damaged- said he would take care of it the retired. 1 speaker not working Electrical issues Dead battery Interior lights turn on by themselves Chrome corrosion Wire corrosion Powder coating peeling Stitching on upholstery loose I spoke to the owner- fall 2023. he assured me they would fix everything over the winter so I paid for long distance hauling, inside storage, winterization, acid wash, spring start up. They fixed the battery issue and blamed Wylands for wrong installation (wylands got me up and running in 2022 when Faye’s was too slow to respond and I wanted to get out for the season so I paid out of pocket to get going) Called early 2024 to make sure all old issues were taken care of- owner said - yes- you are a VIP- we want you satisfied! They delivered the boat- only the battery line Was repaired… NOTHING else! AND ..,the boat was a mess! Electronic covers Off and laying on floor, loose wires, cut wire straps laying, compartments under seats filled with water and extreme mold oder, seats filthy and molded. Too s still crusty. My boat and seats are covered after each use and the boat was deep cleaned prior to sending for the winter… see photos regarding how they returned it! Spoke with Nina- she claims the boat was stored inside all winter, should have only been dusty… she also claims they will pick up the boat and fix all the issues.., now that it’s boating season and they had my boat ALL winter to fix the issues??? BuT that has been a month ago- they still have done nothing and by the way- upon its first 2024 voyage- lights around speaker no longer work! How do I trust my boat was serviced as it should be for summer? Nina will commit to calling back and doesn’t… says the place is a mess and everyone is quitting… says she has been put in the service dept to help and just keeps waiting on the owner to give permission because she doesn’t know who will pay for it.,, the boat is supposed to be under warranty for 10 years- the cover was delivered broken AND still IS! I am a consumer of a major purchase, have had no restitution on issues that date back to 2021! To Faye’s … PLEASE RESOLVE MY ISSUES! Please provide some restitution for your lack!
I felt they were dishonest with me ("Frank" was anyhow), charged too much and took too long. Take your business elsewhere. I chose Erwin's Marine in Valpo who I'd recommend if you're close enough.
I’m from Ohio and saw a listing I liked on BoatTrader. These guys hit me up same day and in about a weeks time I made the trip out there. The boat I purchased was as advertised and the sale was seamless as could be. They even helped me register it and plate my trailer in Ohio when my state gave me problems I bought it out of state. Robert and Steve are both great dudes and easy to work with. Would recommend to anyone.

Buying a boat from Fay's Marina in La Porte, Indiana? Use this guide to evaluate any listing before you commit.
Match the boat to your waters
Pontoons and deck boats suit calm lakes. Deep-V hulls handle chop on larger lakes and coastal water. Center consoles are versatile for fishing. Ask Fay's Marina which models suit the waterways near La Porte, Indiana.
Inspect the hull carefully
Look for stress cracks, blistering, or repairs on fiberglass hulls. Check the transom for soft spots by pressing firmly — a solid transom feels rigid. Osmotic blistering costs thousands to repair.
Check engine hours
Inboard and outboard engines are typically rated to 1,500–3,000 hours. Low-hour engines with service records are worth more. Ask to see oil change and winterization records for any boat at Fay's Marina.
Request a sea trial
Test the boat on the water before buying. Run it at full throttle. Listen for unusual noises. Check that the throttle and steering respond smoothly. Reputable dealers like Fay's Marina will accommodate this request.
Verify title and registration
Ask for the current title and confirm the hull identification number (HIN) matches. Check for any liens with your state boating agency. Fay's Marina should be able to walk you through the paperwork.
