Bought a brand new 2022 Monterey 238SS from Keenan for $95K. During the purchase process they were very responsive and it was a smooth transition. We inspected the boat pretty thoroughly before we bought it. Few months later they delivered it, and we took it to the Gulf. Found a few things wrong with it as expected when you purchase a new boat. Was thinking Keenan’s service would be just as good as when I purchased. Boy was I wrong. Getting Keenan to perform warranty service was so difficult. They wouldn’t return phone calls and only when I told them I was taking it somewhere else for repair and was going to send them the bill did they finally agree to fix the tow hook (pic attached). To date they still won’t agree to replace the rear bimini which arrived with stains and holes in it (pic attached). I even offered to split the cost of the replacement and they refused. Bottom line, don’t count on any decent level of service or standing behind their product after the boat purchase from Keenan. I even called Monterey directly and they referred me back to Keenan. If I had to do it over, I would have purchased from someone different who has a better reputation for service and standing behind their product.
Rob and his crew are simply the best. From sales to service and everything in between they should be your go to for new boat sales, brokerage, slips, service or anything Marine. Highly recommended.
