Had a great experience with everyone at Hall's Sports Muskegon. We brought our boat in for some fiberglass and gelcoat work and it came back perfect - absolutely showroom-floor perfect. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. We walked around the showroom and even the guys in sales were great to interact with. I went in to this experience with my guard up and came out completely relaxed. I will not bring my boat to anyone else for whatever it may need.
Just flabbergasted how the drop off/demonstration of our boat happened that we just bought. Gunnar told us when we visited that the boat would be brought to us, taken out in the water and we'd be taken out for a brief ride to demonstrate all the functions. In addition, he said all the broken clips on the cover would be repaired. We were told to come meet someone at the Grand Haven store today at 5:30. When we arrived the doors were locked despite the open sign being on. Once we got someone's attention and let her know we had an appointment to pick up our boat, she literally pointed at it and said "There's your boat." When we got home I put on the cover because it's supposed to rain, and there are still several broken clips that were not repaired. I think we got a good deal on a good boat, but the promises that were made along with it were not fulfilled at all.
A last minute winterization of a boat in my care was scheduled to be taken many miles away when, I was reminded that Hall’s was within one mile of our storage facility. It made sense, I went there and within hours, the task was completed. The next morning I picked the boat up and returned it to storage. (We’re way past the peak time for this type of work to be done, so, I can assure you that the first couple weeks in September probably won’t be quite this quick). The work to be done was explained in detail beforehand. The price quoted was the price paid; no surprises when I went to pick up the boat. This will be our “go-to” place in the future. It’s easy to keep using the places you’ve been using for years, but nice when your mind is at ease because you made the right decision. Thanks, Hall’s.
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE. Representatives are pleasant and pacifying, but they appear completely understaffed to meet expectations. We dropped our boat off on May 5th (per their instructions), with a list of minor repairs and replacement parts. They did not even look at our boat until mid-June (when we called to check on the status), and then (after more calls and several delays) returned our boat with only half of the work done. Their explanation was that "the parts from Four Winns take six weeks" (we have been waiting for >10 weeks). Will never use this business again.
