We had a great experience buying our new Yamaha boat from Grand Pointe. This was a long distance transaction from Kansas and Ryan made the paperwork process a breeze. Once we arrived in MI, our boat was detailed and ready for us. We then received a very detailed walkthrough and orientation cruise on the river by one of their knowledgeable technicians. Unfortunately, After our 11 hour trip home, we noticed a small hole had developed in the cover. But after a quick email to Greg the warranty manager, they had a brand new cover heading our way. I can’t recommend Grand Pointe enough. 5 stars!!

Bought a boat last year and had a decent experience at best. Then I inquired just recently about another boat and possible trade in. I received a call, then a message requesting photos and details about my boat. I sent everything requested on the day of the conversation and was told they would sent me details and pricing for next steps. 6 weeks later nothing after send messages requesting updates. Also, they sent me an email about coming to see them at a boat show…yeah I’ll pass on buying from here ever again. You can find boats somewhere else that is more eager to help.

I purchased a new Ranger boat from them 5-29-25. The boat came from another dealership, it looked used. Dirty floors, speaker didn't work. Took an hour and a half to fix. The carpet in the bow is peeling from the side. Transom saver was metal on metal with the lower unit, there fix was to put a rag in it. I could tell that absolutely no prep was done to it. I honestly don't understand how this allowed. Josh, the salesman didn't seem to care. I felt that because the deal was already completed, they could care less. I won't be returning to them and giving them another dollar.

Would rate my experience lower if I could. Make sure you triple check over the whole boat and trailer very thoroughly before you buy. Purchased boat in Nov 2020. One of the brake calipers on the trailer came loose after less than a month of owning the boat. Had to wait for months for them to repair it, thankfully the first time they gave me a loaner trailer to use. When the winch arm broke the first time they installed one that was clearly not meant for my trailer, but at least I could still use the boat. Then the brakes on the other side of the trailer came loose so they decided instead of replacing the trailer thats had multiple issues, they were going to replace the axle, weeks longer waiting on parts and installation. After 11 months with the boat and multiple fixes, the winch arm broke a 2nd time and the compartment with the battery had broken welds, the battery was in the haul of the boat. Dropped off boat December 2021 to get repaired, had just filled the gas to full and had just installed brand new 100Ah lithium batteries. Was told then they had to send back to the factory. March rolls around and I haven't heard from anyone and I was just about to call to see if the boat was ready and they call me to tell me to come empty the boat so they could send it to the factory. 3 months it sat at the marina when it should have been getting fixed. I get the boat back in June of 2022, 6 months after I had dropped it off and it had a quarter tank of gas and my brand new batteries were filthy. Luckily I said something about the fuel while I was there and they filled it, but I guess I should have checked the trolling batteries too. Definitely looks like they were used or at the very least not taken care of properly while they were out of my boat. Make sure you take photos of everything when you drop your boat off for service and check the level of gas in your tank if you decide to use their services.
