Tried for two weeks to get in touch with someone at All Captains Yacht Sales regarding a Glacier Bay they had listed. I spoke with someone that promised a callback multiple times, but never got a callback... the owner was in the Bahamas...the salesguy was busy.... I'm in service, not the sales side. Don't list your boat here if you want to be in touch with prospective buyers, I guess. If you have a Glacier Bay for sale, call me.
Salesman was so confused and inexperienced that the owner had to step in. Didn't help much. Made the purchase with agreement of verifying some things verbally communicated to me as to what had been done on the boat. Took almost two months to get the verification/paperwork, which wasn't quite the same as what we were originally told. Several phone calls after receiving the paperwork still got several different explanations. Always seemed to be making excuses and throwing things out there to see if they would stick. Overall the boat was a good buy but the entire experience would lead me to look elsewhere on our next purchase if they had a boat I was interested in. Update- I now know what I suspected- they sold a boat with a motor that had overheated without telling me the entire story, now sending head out to machine shop and replacing head gasket on a 2013 motor with only 300 hours! Shysters, buyers beware
I had two transactions with All Captains Yacht Sales and both were handled very professionally. They listed and sold my Sea Ray Sundancer 330 and a month later, they helped me find and purchase my Navigator 42 Pilothouse. I worked with Wayne Johnston and Craig Dawson. Both were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. My upgraded boat is the first diesel, documented vessel and I'm glad they were there to guide me. When I'm in the market again, I'll come back for their expertise.
Bought our "New to Us" Island Packet sailboat and I gotta say Dan the Boat man has been the best. We got the showing the first day and we sat on the boat walked threw looked at every nook and craney then sat around and talked then looked around some more told stories then remembered more and looked around more spent nearly the entire day and I felt completely comfortable on thr boat. Dan is giving a day or so of instruction on anything I'm unfamiliar with since thr boat is new to us as well. He has gone way far past anything that a sales person should go. The sale is well over with the boat has been fully transferred no reason for him to still go above and beyond but I needed a measurement and thr boat is 2 hours away from me still and Dan just went out at night while sick to take a measurement I completely did not expect it but that's dedication. On top of that Dan feels like I just bought from a friend not a broker never made me feel less than for not knowing everything I should know which makes having a question much easier on the pride. I could go on with a short novel with what I feel I put this man threw during the sale much less what the seller must have done as well but if your looking for a broker I don't think I have ever given anyone such high regard as Dan
We have a Sea Ray 175 that we purchased knowing it would be a project. Ron (on the mechanical side of the business) went through the entire boat and recommended what needed to be fixed immediately and what could wait if we wanted. After receiving the boat back from him in just under a week, the boat runs absolutely like it should. I then brought it back thinking the bilge pump had to be replaced. Instead of replacing the pump and the float switch, he trouble shot the issue and we only needed a new switch. Most marine mechanics would not take the time to actually troubleshoot. I appreciate his and his shops work and will return.
