We just bought a 2025 VX cruiser waverunner for my wife and she is delighted and we got a really good deal. I have previously bought three motorcycles from Columbia Powersports and the people have always been great and prices have been reasonable. Update: Having owned the waverunner for several months now, I will say that Columbia Powersports is great but Yamaha finance bites ass, I like to pay extra every month so that I can pay down the principal and pay the loan off early. They're online site will not let me make a payment because I pay early and it will not let me make an additional payment towards the principal. I have to call customer service which is somewhere where you have to speak to someone that barely has a grasp of the English language, It's very frustrating. I think I'm going to have to finance it through one of my normal Banks and get rid of Yamaha Finance because it is just a nightmare to try and explain and they have yet to get it done correctly. They keep carrying my principal payment over towards my next balance. I have complained to everyone that I can think of that might be able to fix it to no avail. 12-1-2025 Update: Here's an example of what I'm talking about. I just spent 46 minutes and 21 seconds on the phone to make the regular payment and I paid an additional payment as well towards the principal I hope but it sure did take a lot of explaining for a guy that pays his bills in advance and pays extra every single month.

My experience was disappointing from start to finish. They made it unnecessarily difficult to pay unless I financed through them and even gave me a hard time about wiring funds. The owner wouldn’t come out of his office the entire time I was there, and the boat wasn’t even ready for pickup. They also messed up the paperwork and shorted me on a $25 rope I purchased in their store. For a business that claims to be a small family operation, they operate with the bureaucracy of a call center and the sophistication of Temu.
We showed up late on Saturday rite before they closed and they were still friendly and walked us thru our machine as if it was first customer of the day. The salesman Colby even took the time to made sure it was loaded properly. I will do business with these guys again and I recommend them.
I am a boater. I have owned little boats, big boats, island hoppers, wake, cruiser boats, bass boats, canoes, kayaks, etc. I have charter fished many times, I have a world-class sailfish. (Takes a pretty big boat) I always looked at jet skis as some sort of pesky you couldn't afford a different boat, really great rescue equipment to get where you need to go safely quickly and to help somebody. I WAS WRONG. I drove the big Yamaha and I am hooked. The size, weight and hull design are unparalleled. I have several fusions in my back to include rods and screws and all that goodness from my younger days. I rode all day long as hard as I could ride, Didn't hurt a bit. The machine is ultra responsive. Powerful practical and designed by someone who does stuff on the water. Now to address buying it at a dealership, Columbia powersports was The best experience I have ever had purchasing water equipment. If you are a first-time buyer of any water equipment you can feel like you're being sold something. As a woman I went in there alone and I was treated fairly and respectfully. there was not a pretentious or misogynistic odor anywhere in this place. My salesman was Josh. He has answered every single phone call I have made to him. He was knowledgeable without being a know-it-all. They will be very very lucky if I don't try to hire him. If you were considering doing this thing and it's a luxury item we all know it. Please please please check them out, real information by knowledgeable honest people. Last but not least, nobody could have beat their price.
