3000 miles from home (Wisconsin) my 2015 RT had a VERY expensive breakdown - alternator malfunction! Never realized this was a BMW problem for the 2013-17's! It has since been redesigned but put a major speedbump in our long distance tour out west. Not only the cost of the repair, but the required time to get it fixed was problematic - and worst was the added $'s to UHaul home + who wants to sit in a stupid truck for 30+ hrs!! Luckily after thoughts from my son, I looked into the used inventory @ Cascade Moto. Not only did they have 4 RTs, but a really sweet 2021 with low miles that was just traded in & I lucked out & was able to buy it a couple of days later....Let The Ride Continue!! Brian in sales was exceptional as he promised to "hold" it for me as we trucked our cycles 4hrs north from Coos Bay even though he had others coming to look at this special bike in the next few days! The sales experience was smooth, timely for a Fri afternoon & the price was very good! .... only a few 000's more than repairing my old bike that was 6 yrs older & had more than 3X the mileage!! Plus, they gave me a fair trade in for my busted RT! While I was involved in the purchase, my buddy on a 2020RT was accommodated in service with an oil change! - talk about great service slipping him in unannounced! The sales manager Sean went out of his way with the legals & we now have settled vehicle titles! Have since put on more than 4000 miles on the new bike - had a service back home & I'm loving it! I've been in dozens of BMW Motorrad dealers all over the nation, and this is by far the nicest dealership I've encountered! I'll most likely never return, but Portland, you're lucky to have Cascade Moto!
Great experience with Cascade. I bought a used BMW from them back in May and went back for a little Triumph. The service department is extremely helpful (thanks Merritt!) and Ivan in sales was great to work with. Both transactions went so smoothly. Even though they’re almost a two hour ride from where I live, I will be going there for all my bike needs.
Worked with Ivan Moreno to purchase my first BMW motorcycle. He listened to me and wanted me to find the right bike for my needs. It was really great working with someone that cared about me. Here's a little update...I had what I thought was a strange smell from my "newish" motorcycle and called the service department. Merritt answered my call and was totally accommodating to me. He suggested I bring it in at my earliest convenience so they can take a look at it. I ended up bringing it by the following day and they got it right in. I then asked about my WonderWheel not working with my new ChiGee CarPlay device and Merritt graciously offered to take a look at it and try to figure out why it wasn't working. They did Firmware updates and lots of troubleshooting, come to find out the GPS Mount was faulty and they fixed my issue. I highly recommend Cascade Moto Portland, they are truly professional, communicate well, and treated me like a valued customer. Great Job Cascade Moto Portland!
Sometimes it’s the small things that reveal the culture of a business. First and foremost I’ve never been to a dealership that welcomes customers by name. As I entered the service department a plaque welcomed a number of customers who had appointments. Wow! Then Brian in sales helped me with my technique for getting my 1250 on its center stand. And then he guided me through the BMW app to help me understand how to use the navigation system. Over the top level of service.
