The VW technicians at Bob Penkhus are TRASH. Quick explanation: 04/07/25- Oil changed and transmission serviced. (Had to go back the next day because the crush washer on transmission housing was improperly installed and leaking heavily.) 11/04/25- Went to do an oil change myself, only to discover the threads in the oil pan were stripped-out and needed a new oil pan, which means their technician over-torqued or cross-threaded the bolt. VW said since they couldnt prove who was at fault, I would still have to pay for the parts and they would cover the labor. This was a little over $800. I was upset but agreed since it would be labor-free. 11/07/25- Went to pick up car and drive it home. Got about 2 miles down the I25 before my engine splash guard detached from under the car. Like how could you mess that up? Its three bolts on the back, and a place where it clips to the front bumper. My splash guard is now all tore up and scuffed terribly. NEVER USE BOB PENKHUS FOR SERVICES ON VWs!! **On a positive note, Service Advisor Steve was amazing** He gets 5 stars but the techs get 1, zero if it was possible.
