When selling someone a vehicle made by a different manufacturer and use that it has a lifetime power train warranty as a selling point it would probably be a good idea to inform the customer that you can't repair the covered warranty repair and it will have to be taken to that dealer. Instead your service department still took in the vehicle knowing it was going to be warranty work and charged a $272 diagnostic fee after they came to the conclusion the work couldn't be performed in house. The experience definitely could have been better.
