My new 2025 Encore GX was purchased in Albertville, I love the car. Barkley did the first oil change for no charge, everything was great. Great service no issues at all. But when I came back for the second oil change they told me they would do it this time, but after this/today…since I didn’t purchase my new car from them, that they might not do any service on it anymore. What kind of dealership turns away routine service work on a brand-new Car just because it wasn’t bought under their roof? It makes no sense. So then they told me next time, to call and see if they will agree to service it before bringing it in for the next oil change. Honestly, after them saying that…I may rather drive an hour out of my way to Birmingham or Jasper for an oil change, just to not deal with them. It’s one of the strangest and most unprofessional things I’ve ever heard.
I have had my car since April of 2024. All of my service jobs have been done at this location except the first oil change. On yesterday I was contacted after my service appointment was complete. I was told that I could no longer get my car serviced their bc it was purchased from Bill Smith. No explanation and no details. I find that very unprofessional and it's a big inconvenience being that I don't even stay a mile from this location. The only reason I purchased my vehicle from Cullman was because this location had none in stock and they were on back order. But I won't EVER patronize this location or refer it to any of my family or friends after what happened on yesterday. And I was actually interested in upgrading to the newer model but I won't be bringing anymore of my business to this location!
