After 10 years of loyalty, Acura of Ocean has unfortunately disappointed me with their quality of service. I am No longer confident in there work and will seek other options for a future car and services. The shop had my car for two days, and yet I still faced what could’ve been a serious and dangerous situation. After recommended services were completed, I drove Off the lot and about 30 minutes into my drive a loud metal screeching sound came from under the vehicle. I had to take the car to a local auto body shop to get checked out and they made me aware that Acura placed zip ties on the plastic undershield which ultimately broke. I explained to the service representative that it is completely unacceptable to let someone drive off the lot with a zip tie holding part of their car together—especially after having the vehicle for two full days. I was told the zip tie is “usually secure,” but it clearly wasn’t secure enough if it failed. I made it very clear that I am 8 months pregnant, spent $2,000 on this service, and have been a loyal customer for 10 years. I could not believe I was being told that someone thought a zip tie was an acceptable When I called Acura said to bring the car in and requested that I wait For it be Checked and fixed. I requested a thorough check of the entire vehicle and requested a loaner but was immediately told that was not necessary and it would Only take five minutes to fix. After 10 minutes. I get A call saying the manager would give a loaner and I could drop the car off. Or wait until my next service.
The entire process of purchasing a 2023 MDX was perfect. Dan the sales manager was outstanding. Honest and extremely polite. Justin also made the paperwork easy and explained everything. I would recommend Acura of Ocean to everyone.
I’ve been driving Acura MDXs for more than 25 years. I’ve worked with several dealers, and none have been as professional, transparent, efficient, and pleasant to work with as Acura of Ocean. Russel (sales) was excellent. He answered all my questions with clear explanations and gave useful insights about the car. And he provided everything we discussed in writing. Justin (business manager) had my papers ready to go when I arrived and the whole process took maybe 15 minutes. And there were no surprises. And Miguel sat with me and patiently reviewed all the many new features I wanted to see. I confess, up until now I’ve not been a fan of car dealerships and car buying, but I actually enjoyed this experience—I highly recommend them!
David the sales rep is just awesome. Did everything he could to take care of us and didnt pressure me with any add ons or fluff. There were some finacing complications but both David and Justin the finance member went above and beyond to get me the car I wanted. Very nice people that got me a great value car. Definitely recommend.
