Shopping for a vehicle at Acura Of Laurel in Laurel, Maryland? Follow these steps to buy with confidence.
Pull the vehicle history report
Run a CARFAX or AutoCheck report using the VIN before you visit. Look for accident history, odometer rollbacks, and title brands like salvage or flood. Ask Acura Of Laurel if a report is available for any listing.
Take a thorough test drive
Drive on both city streets and the highway. Accelerate hard. Brake firmly. Listen for any clunks, vibrations, or warning lights. Test the AC, heat, and all electronics during the drive.
Inspect for hidden wear
Check for uneven panel gaps, mismatched paint, or overspray — signs of past bodywork. Push on each corner of the car to test the shocks. Look underneath for frame damage, fluid leaks, or rust.
Get a pre-purchase inspection
Have a trusted mechanic inspect any used vehicle before you buy. A $100–$150 PPI can uncover issues that save you thousands. Ask Acura Of Laurel if a third-party inspection is permitted.
Negotiate the out-the-door price
Focus on the total out-the-door price, not the monthly payment. Understand every fee on the sales contract before signing. Dealer add-ons like paint protection and VIN etching are negotiable at Acura Of Laurel.

If I could give this dealership zero stars I would. My son purchased a vehicle on October the 27th and on October the 30th the oil light indicator come on. He contacted his salesman Simeon and he tells him to bring it in for an oil change which he does on November 4th because they had to order the filter. On November the 11 the oil indicator light come back on. He was instructed I take his vehicle to a local Audi dealership to diagnose the issue. The problem was carbon build up on the pistons and cost would be $1500. When Danny Pak the general manager was informed of the problem with the vehicle his response was due to the high mileage on the car that you should expect something to be wrong with it. If that were the case why sell it to someone. They also do all the inspections on the premises. The only solution that they have is to have my son pick out a different vehicle in their inventory and to trade the vehicle to them at market value not what he paid. Also his $3000 deposit would not be honored. We have also emailed the President Warren Paugh who keeps referring us back to Danny Pak who only cares about sales not good customer service. All this has happened in less than 30 days.
I bought a new Acura from this dealership this week and had the most easygoing, straightforward process I could ask for. Timm Reed (sales) was knowledgeable and accommodating. Danny (GM) was very communicative and supportive. Arya (finance) was also direct and helpful. They were able to find me the exact vehicle I was looking for, which already had limited options due to my preferences, and gave me a great deal. They had the vehicle transferred in from another dealership and was able to get it to me in a timely manner despite it being around one of the biggest snowstorms we've had in recent years. Everyone I interacted with was extremely personable and friendly, and gave me an ultimately pleasant car buying experience.
The service was or is always exceptional I live in Baltimore and this for me is a no brainer I will drive far and wide to get my service here. I had a little situation recently but the manager Mike went above and beyond took responsibility and I felt like I was catered for. Very professional they’re doing something great here I’ll definitely visit over and over, if there was 100 stars I’ll give this team of exceptional leadership.
Five stars isn't enough Simeon and Danny helped us get our vehicles. We went for one and ended up getting two cars. Both of these gentlemen were very attentive and really showed they cared and made sure we got the vehicles we wanted. They worked out affordable prices and made sure to get the rate/price at a reasonable rate. The respect shown made us feel like we weren’t at a typical dealership. They go above and beyond for their clients. Danny the sales manager, made sure to greet us right away and listened to everything we wanted. Simeon made the magic happen. Together I would call them the dream team! They know how to close a deal. Would highly recommend Acura of Laurel to anyone, the cars sell themselves but the service you will receive will make you feel like you’ve known these guys forever. They really are great people who listen and care what the customer wants. They have earned our business as loyal customers. We are so happy with our vehicles.
Seems like every time I try to use the service center here, I go away unhappy. A couple years ago I had a solenoid in the transmission of our 2019 TLX go bad. Instead of trying to sell me and replace the valve body ($2500), they were over pushy, trying to push me into a new transmission at $10,000. The vehicle only had 73,000 miles (just out of warranty). When I disagreed with the shop foremen to the excessive repair, they tried to pressure me into trading in the TLX for a new one. Super shady in my opinion. I trailered the vehicle home and fixed it myself for under $200 by just replacing the bad solenoid. Recently there was a recall on the fuel pump, the paperwork said 1 hour, the service advisor confirmed 1 hour when me made the appointment. My wife left work early took the car in at 1000. They told her it would be at least 2 hours. We know they shutdown and go on lunch break from 1200 - 1300. She told them that she was told it would take and hour, and also pointed to the paperwork. They argued with her, so she left. I think I'm done with this dealership. We will probably just use Criswell in Annapolis moving forward.
