Shopping for a vehicle at 2nd Chance Autos in Norwalk, Ohio? Follow these steps to buy with confidence.
Pull the vehicle history report
Run a CARFAX or AutoCheck report using the VIN before you visit. Look for accident history, odometer rollbacks, and title brands like salvage or flood. Ask 2nd Chance Autos if a report is available for any listing.
Take a thorough test drive
Drive on both city streets and the highway. Accelerate hard. Brake firmly. Listen for any clunks, vibrations, or warning lights. Test the AC, heat, and all electronics during the drive.
Inspect for hidden wear
Check for uneven panel gaps, mismatched paint, or overspray — signs of past bodywork. Push on each corner of the car to test the shocks. Look underneath for frame damage, fluid leaks, or rust.
Get a pre-purchase inspection
Have a trusted mechanic inspect any used vehicle before you buy. A $100–$150 PPI can uncover issues that save you thousands. Ask 2nd Chance Autos if a third-party inspection is permitted.
Negotiate the out-the-door price
Focus on the total out-the-door price, not the monthly payment. Understand every fee on the sales contract before signing. Dealer add-ons like paint protection and VIN etching are negotiable at 2nd Chance Autos.
Auto financing is competitive. A little preparation before visiting 2nd Chance Autos in Norwalk, Ohio puts you in a stronger position.
Typical Loan Terms
48 to 72 months is most common. Shorter terms cost less in total interest.
Down Payment
10% to 20% down reduces your monthly payment and improves your loan terms.

First off guy never said anything bout my vehicle having a salvaged title.. bout 5000 knowing it had that I wouldn't have even tried to buy it. Kbb value wasnt even that high. Electrical issue. Few other stuff but, Do as you will I'm just giving my issues.
That's a good sign they have second chance
This place is attended directly by the owner a very nice honest man.
I tried to buy a car with this place when my ex and I split (jan 2018) and he no longer allowed me the car. When i went there the car I was looking at only had "minor" issues. It needed a tube I gave them a 500 dollar deposit waited for my car which they insisted needed new breaks that they claimed to had also fixed yet my peddle touched the floor. 3 days after driving the car the car over heated and the heat went out in the car. When i took the car back they wanted to charge me another 700 for them to fix what the didn't fix. Even told the owner himself I herd nothing but bad reviews but I needed a vehicle and he was the cheapest in the area (now I know why). Do not even send your worse enemies there. I am updating (10/24)this post since it showed up in my google reviews while looking my reviews) I was loan approved, and this place did not repo the car, I was at my job for 10 years so employment was not the reason for “loosing” the vehicle I SURRENDERED, the car because it sat on rt.20 for a day after it broke down after owning to for 3 days and loosing the down payment. These owners that replied to this completely lied in their response back so not only do they sell LEMON CARS they JUST LIE TO MAKE THEMSELVES LOOK GOOD. Here I am 7 yrs later replying to their response
Just purchased a vehicle. Shawn is an amazing guy. He really works with you and always helps you. I am very happy with my car. I would recommend everyone I know to him. Thanks again for my vehicle 😊
