I really don't understand..... I took my bike there and got an estimate for 8 things. $600 in labor and $200 in parts. I said no, I wanted to do some of the labor myself cause I don't have that money. I JUST bought the bike. I said they could do 3-4 of the things. It took them two months to fix it. Any update I got was because I called. Every time I did, it was oh it should be done in a few days or next week. I tried to be the most patient I could be.... I finally got my bike two weeks ago. One of the things fixed was the wiring for the turn signals. Well once I got it back, my blinker was STILL blinking fast so I took it back which they fixed. Additionally, they decided not to replace the bulb in the dash board? I guess this wasn't considered to be included in the fixing for the rest of the turn signal issue? Whatever. I digress..... They also said I was having a problem with my clutch perch or something....they didn't have a replacement part so they just cleaned it? It needed replacement because my turn signal switch was sticking and not working properly. Well I opened it ..and it looks like it hasn't been cleaned since the bike was made in 85. The problem was still present since I got the bike back. So I took it upon myself to clean it with WD40 and contact cleaner and remove the gunk in there and now it works. I've been severely disappointed through this whole ordeal. Communication is key and even if this stuff was probably communicated I'd be a little more understand but my experience has been an incredible low.
Was very shady in how they submitted my credit application when I financed. And now only realizing it because I took a second look at what they reported my credit score was at the time which was way lower than it actually was. And when I went to get work done on my moped, so they could install the gas cap that was not on it when purchased they told me it would take a couple hours. I ended up spending 8 hours waiting there. They just kept saying it’s more complicated than they originally thought meanwhile people were arriving and leaving left and right getting serviced. I worked a 12 hour over night shift and they just had absolutely ZERO consideration. Will NEVER PURCHASE FROM HERE AGAIN OR RECOMMEND.
Bought a lightly used Genuine 400C motorcycle from this place. The bike has been great and anytime I need anything the kind folks at Velocity are there to help. They have a lot of inventory crammed in a small space but it works well. Last time I went they were extremely busy and I was still in and out with what I needed in less than 10 minutes.
I began coming here with my scooter after having issues with another shop that sold the scooter in early 2023. I am absolutely satisfied with the work that was done and the quality of service when the time came. I purchased a used motorcycle in November. I am still happy with the sales and service. This place has been my go-to place for almost all of my cycle needs from apparel to maintenance. The people are fantastic and go above and beyond to try and accommodate and are definitely worth a look. I'm not ashamed to say it, but I'm also happy that they will help load a bike.
Update 09-06-2024 I took my latest addition to my collection of vintage Honda CT70s to Chris Cuomo and his crew at Velocity Cycles. 1979 Honda DAX ST50M ... a one year only model only available in Japan. Velocity Cycles installed new Bridgestone tires and a new chain, and I couldn't be happier! The crew at Velocity have mechanically restored several of my CT70s and each time they do a GREAT job at a very fair price. I took one of my 1970 Honda CT70 (on the right) to Chris shortly after I purchased it at a Carlisle Events show. It ran but not well and none of the lights or horn worked. Well, Dave who is the "restoration expert" at Velocity worked magic on this little gem because now EVERYTHING works. Dave performed what I would consider a COMPLETE mechanical restoration including engine rebuild. It's now safe, reliable and FUN! ... all done at a VERY reasonable cost. I will be taking the one on the left to Velocity in the Spring for similar work. These little trail bikes have become so popular (and valuable) because of old guys like me who wanted one as a kid and didn't get it or who want to relive the thrill of owning one again. There are lots of part resources but not so many mechanics who can or want to work on them. So glad I found Chris & Dave at Velocity Cycles!
