BOAT OWNERS BEWARE Wanted to post about a HORRIBLE experience I had with a LOCAL company, Texas Boats and Outdoors (TBO). My mobile mechanic referred me to TBO to have a trim sensor replaced. After taking my boat there, TBO confirmed the trim sensor needed to be replaced. TBO called to tell me the part was on back order for a month. I had to personally track the part down myself and deliver it to them. They also replaced my alternator and then determined I also needed a fuel pump, which I also had to locate and deliver to TBO. WE ARE NOW THREE MONTHS IN! When TBO dry tested the fuel pump, the water was turned off, causing my water pump to fail. TBO called me to advise me of the error and said in replacing the water pump an oil change had to be completed and that they would cover the cost of the new pump and labor but asked me to pay for the oil. Maybe they couldn’t afford the oil - I don’t know but what business would even ask!? Following the work an employee water tested the boat. TBO used one of their boat trailers to launch my boat (27’ Tri-Toon). When TBO recovered my boat to take it back to TBO my boat came completely off their trailer, as it was not strapped down. The boat came to rest on 1097. The boat was never strapped down! Following the incident an employee called to give me half truths on how and why this happened. I was also told me the owner (Google him) and that he told the employee they would do what ever it took to fix the boat and that they were insured. THEY CLEARLY DID NOT DO WHAT EVER WAS NEEDED TO RETURN THE BOAT TO THE CONDITION IT WAS DROPPED OFF IN. The owner never called me until I asked him to call me. He did everything to minimize the damage, which included damage to all three pontoons, paneling and deck. He then called his insurance and never offered to make anything right. This should scream BOAT OWNER BEEARE. or lack ethical responsibility. TBO is also not recognized by the Better Business Bureau (SHOCKER). I wish I had known that prior to taking my boat there. I will create an account for them and leave the same review. AND TO BOOT, he charged me $1700 for the repairs he made on my motor after damaging the boat. I GUESS THAT WAS THE AGREED UPON PRICE TO REPAIR THE MOTOR - NOT SURE WE AGREED ON HIM DAMAGING MY BOAT! So here is a guy who was not financially responsible to fix my boat himself in any way shape or form nor willing to waive repair costs after destroying all three pontoons. WHAT A WINNER! So, in short it would be foolish to trust this business or owner with your boat. He surely doesn’t care about you or your boat!
Texas Boats & Outdoors has all the land and water toys you could possibly need living the MoCoTX country/lake life. We thought we were going to check out some boats, but good heavens, y'all. Look at those UTVs! They were massive! The hot pink one was my personal favorite.
Very quick, very professional with fair pricing. Couldn’t be happier with my experience
Buyer beware!! They tried to sell me a 2009 Four Winns yellow boat that had been flooded during Harvey without disclosing of it first. Luckily, upon my second inspection I noticed something that didn't look right. Sales guy said he didn't know anything about it flooding. Then the sales manager said oh yeah we fixed all that 3 years ago. They wanted full retail for a flooded boat. I left the manager a message and no call back.
Had boat trailer inspected. Excellent customer service. Very nice showroom with boats and sidekicks.

Buying a snowmobile from Texas Boats & Outdoors in Willis, Texas? Use this checklist to avoid costly surprises.
Inspect the track and slides
Lay the sled on its side and check the track for cracks, missing lugs, or cuts. Pull the track away from the slides and check for wear groove depth — worn slides increase drive noise and reduce efficiency.
Check the hood and tunnel for damage
Cracks in the hood or tunnel can signal a past crash. Look for mismatched or faded plastic, which often means replacement panels were installed after damage.
Inspect the carbides and skis
Carbide runners on the ski underside provide steering. Worn carbides (less than 3/16" remaining) reduce handling on packed snow. Ski replacement is inexpensive, but factor it into your offer.
Check coolant and oil
Pull the coolant reservoir cap and oil tank dipstick. Milky coolant signals water contamination. Low or dirty oil signals deferred maintenance. Ask ${dealerName} for service records.
Ask about storage and season history
A properly stored snowmobile — fuel stabilized, fogged engine, battery maintained — will start and run far better than one that sat neglected. Ask Texas Boats & Outdoors about the unit's storage and riding history.
Snowmobile financing is seasonal. Knowing the basics helps you get the best deal at Texas Boats & Outdoors in Willis, Texas before the riding season starts.
Typical Loan Terms
24 to 60 months is typical for snowmobile loans.
Down Payment
10% to 20% down is standard. Off-season purchases sometimes qualify for promotional rates.
Pro Tip
Get pre-approved by your bank before visiting Texas Boats & Outdoors — it gives you a rate to compare against dealer financing.
Manufacturer finance programs (Ski-Doo, Polaris, Arctic Cat) often offer zero-interest or low-rate deals in the off-season. Ask Texas Boats & Outdoors what programs are currently available. Buying in spring or summer often yields better financing deals than buying in fall.
