I bought a truck from Lee Motor Company (AKA Street Rods, Junction City, Kansas) on 11/1/25. I received the title paperwork on 12/15/25. However, when I tried to register the truck on 12/31/25, the title was incorrect. I called the dealership and Janet told me she knew there was an issue with the title and she was hoping to get the correct title in the mail on 12/31/25. I told her I need another 30 or 60 day temp plate since the original temp expired 12/31/25. She told me the state did not want them to do that. I said they did not provide me with the correct paperwork and still do not have it themselves, so it is there responsibility to provide me with an extended temporary plate. She told me to drive on the expired plate because in her area the police will not pull you over for that. I told her I was not comfortable doing that because the police in my area are not as forgiving. She told me she would talk to Dave and call me back. I heard nothing Wednesday, I did not expect the hear anything Thursday. Friday I called and there was no answer. Friday, Saturday and Sunday my husband called multiple times and there was no answer. Monday, we had a Junction City local check the business and they are permanently closed. My husband finally was able to contact Janet at Street Rods yesterday, 1/5/2026. She said she had no idea what was wrong with the title, her daughter must have screwed it up and they would not be issuing a new temp tag. We pushed for the tag, saying this is there fault and we needed to be legal. She assured us she would get back to us before 7pm last night. No contact yet, 10am 1/6/26. My husband attempted to call Janet directly and her mailbox is full and we are unable to make contact still.

After being burned by snake oil car salesmen in 2023, I was scared to buy another vehicle in Junction City. But when my fiance and 2 coworkers bought cars from Street Rods and all had good experiences, I knew I could trust them too. Customer service is great, down to earth people that aren't doing bad business. Highly recommend.

My husband and I drove 90 miles to look at a car from Street Rods, and it was worth every minute. Casey was super nice, and made the whole process easy. I have already recommended them to my friends and family. 10/10 experience. Thanks guys!

Recently bought a car a couple weeks ago. Overall good experience and pretty good customer service. The only part of the process that wasn’t great quality was my interaction with Tony, my salesman, he didn’t seem very interested in me purchasing a car. Didn’t ask any questions besides how much I was willing to pay. I was able to bring the car to get an inspection. The car had bald rear tires, bad break light, oil leak and bad window motor.Aaron was professional and kind, he agreed to fix those issues. All the issues were taking care of the very next day by their Mechanic, Adam who was also friendly and professional, fixed all the issues the very next day. This was all free of charge. The car rides great although there all some small things to fix but it’s a used car so that’s expected. I am happy with my experience here and my purchase.

It's was definitely easy to get a car with them. My husband found one he was interested in and when we test drove it, it all seemed fine. Well, after a week of casually driving it, the transmission was slipping in gears 3-5. They said they would pay to have it fixed at dons transmission here in town. They had it a day and got it back to us but the transmission was still doing the same thing. So we informed them it was still the same and they stated they would have a new transmission put in. When we picked up the car 2 days later, they informed us that they put a used transmission in it. We asked for a receipt which took them a while to get together. On the receipt it says the transmission was new, but it's still sliding and slipping in gears 3-5, so we are paying out of our pocket to take it to a Chevy dealership because we don't feel like they have resolved our issue. Another thing that's quite frustrating is we have asked for the title to get it tagged a few times. The first time no one was there to find it, the second time they informed us that it was misplaced and this coming Monday they are supposed to go to Topeka to get a new copy. It's frustrating because the temp tag goes out next week and we will not be able to drive it if the title is not found or a new copy isn't given to us. I will amend my rating once this all is figured out. Update.... Never buying a vehicle from them again. For the title, they "misplaced" it and had to get another copy. And They did me and my husband so dirty and then refused to fix it. We ended up having to take it to a Chevy dealer and there is so much wrong with the car, they don't even know how we were able to drive it to them. Now we have to come out of pocket for a new engine and transmission for a car we have not been able to drive since we bought it. Fraud artists these ones are. Watch out.

Snowmobile Buyer's Guide – Street Rods

Buying a snowmobile from Street Rods in Junction City, Kansas? Use this checklist to avoid costly surprises.

  1. 1

    Inspect the track and slides

Lay the sled on its side and check the track for cracks, missing lugs, or cuts. Pull the track away from the slides and check for wear groove depth — worn slides increase drive noise and reduce efficiency.

  2. 2

Check the hood and tunnel for damage

Cracks in the hood or tunnel can signal a past crash. Look for mismatched or faded plastic, which often means replacement panels were installed after damage.

  3. 3

    Inspect the carbides and skis

Carbide runners on the ski underside provide steering. Worn carbides (less than 3/16" remaining) reduce handling on packed snow. Ski replacement is inexpensive, but factor it into your offer.

  4. 4

    Check coolant and oil

Pull the coolant reservoir cap and oil tank dipstick. Milky coolant signals water contamination. Low or dirty oil signals deferred maintenance. Ask ${dealerName} for service records.

  5. 5

Ask about storage and season history

A properly stored snowmobile — fuel stabilized, fogged engine, battery maintained — will start and run far better than one that sat neglected. Ask Street Rods about the unit's storage and riding history.

How to Finance a Snowmobile at Street Rods

Snowmobile financing is seasonal. Knowing the basics helps you get the best deal at Street Rods in Junction City, Kansas before the riding season starts.

Typical Loan Terms

24 to 60 months is typical for snowmobile loans.

Down Payment

10% to 20% down is standard. Off-season purchases sometimes qualify for promotional rates.

Pro Tip

Get pre-approved by your bank before visiting Street Rods — it gives you a rate to compare against dealer financing.

Lender Advice

Manufacturer finance programs (Ski-Doo, Polaris, Arctic Cat) often offer zero-interest or low-rate deals in the off-season. Ask Street Rods what programs are currently available. Buying in spring or summer often yields better financing deals than buying in fall.

Questions to Ask Street Rods About Financing

  • Are there off-season or early-order financing promotions available?
  • Does the deal include a trailer, and can it be financed together?
  • What extended warranty options are available for this model?
  • What is the loan term, and is early payoff penalty-free?
  • Are accessories like heated gloves or a cover eligible for roll-in financing?
