My cb500 needed a new fuel arm & float under recall. Staci set up an appointment and her team got my bike fixed the same day! Very good people to work with. I would definitely take my bike back for any future services or repairs. Thank you Cycle World for fixing my bike and getting me back on the road in time for the weekend!
UPDATE: TOOK THIS TO A REAL MECHANIC AND HE HAD IT COMPLETE IN A WEEEK WITH A CARB ADJUSTMENT AND A NEW FUEL TANK VENT. A WEEK OVER THE HOLIDAYS AND $250 FOR A REAL MECHANUC AND ITS RUNNING WIDE OPEN AND PERFECT. This place is a joke. I took my yamaha jet ski to Cycle world on July 17. Staci told me it would be about 2 weeks to get it in to be worked on. When I dropped it off, I explained that the ski was running, however when you throttle it, the ski would go to about 30mph and then it would slow down and then kick back up. They charged me a diagnostic fee and stated that if I get the work done there they would apply half of my diagnostic fee and apply it to the repairs. I agreed and signed the contract. Multiple times I was told it would be 2 weeks before they were able to get it in for repairs and they would keep me updated "every step of the way." A month later I called to get an update because I had not heard anything. Staci said it had not been in the shop yet and gave an excuse about needing to take care of an insurance claim for someone else. But it was going in on Monday. This exact scenario took place month after month. No updates, when I call I was told it would go in on Monday because their tech was always in training, on vacation or busy with something else. I went to the shop in person in November. I told them I was tired of waiting and wanted to pick up my ski. I was told I could pick it up, but I had to pay over $1100.00 in repairs. Brandon came out of his office and explained that they cleaned the carbs and needed paid for that and they did not have the proper tools to work on it. He asked me to let it there and he would make it "right" with my bill. I let it there and started getting weekly updates. Not that it helped because all my updates were the same, we are waiting for the tools then we still haven't figured out the problem, we put it in the water and it stalls out as soon as we put it in the water. It is now December 17 and I just picked up my jet ski, which is worse than it was when I took it in. I was not permitted to speak to a service teh because according to Staci, "there is a reason they are in the back, they are not personable." when I went to my ski to hook it up I noticed it had about 30 gallons of water on and in it which was all frozen. I had not winterized it because they have had it all this time. They charged me over $900 and still would not allow me to pick up without payment. They said "unfortunately we cannot fix it and maybe you can take it some place else to get it looked at." I honestly don't know if it is utter incompetence on their part or was it because I am a woman who should not know anything about motors? Brandon definitely made me feel inferior with the way he spoke at me. Anyone know an attorney willing to take on a case before I start calling around?
They really took great care of us and got our initial service done faster than we could have imagined! The people at Cycle World are awesome and know their stuff!!
I’ll tell you about my experience and you decide whether to take your bike here or not. When I picked up my bike there was a dent on the gas tank. Customer service manager Brandon denied it was their fault based on his “mechanic Elijah” “swearing they didn’t do it”, not knowing I had before and after photos/video. After presenting a courts case worth of evidence and fighting them to not “just slap some bondo over it” they admitted fault and got a third party to “fix it”. This was all after spending $3K in “repairs” on 2 bikes with “safety inspections”. Also my registration, insurance cards and their weatherproof container were missing, replaced by a shop rag. Rear hand brake is missing a bolt, useless. Starter cover is missing a seal, leaking. Fork caps were stripped, only thing they actually admitted fault to. Horn was replaced with aftermarket, was hanging low rubbing on the front tire. Steering wheel lock was disabled due to incorrect handle bar adjustment. The most important best for last 3 out of 4 of my fork holder under bolts were loose. The one was barely torqued. Worse service experience I’ve ever had. I will not be returning…
