my friend bought a used tractor (17.5 hrs) on 1/30/25. We drove down from the Seattle are to pick it up. Bob was AWESOME to deal with & the guys in the office were great as well. 150% impressed & highly recommend!!!

Installed incorrect fuel filter, later misdiagnosed the problems that caused, charged me greatly to 'fix the issue' by doing something that did not need doing. When brought to their attention after the original issue(proper fuel filter installed) was fixed by West Lane Equipment Services, they did accept they made a mistake. However owner would not communicate, rather offered a 9% refund through an employee. Not how I do business or want others to. Best take your machines elsewhere.

Bob from Brim tractors helped me purchase an awesome zero turn mower and when I tested it out at my place one of the belts broke. Bob was at my place replacing it within an hour of my call. Great customer service. Love my new mower.

This is a great dealership. The sales department is excellent. It is the best I have ever experienced. Our new Yanmar tractor is fantastic. It is making great fun out of what otherwise would be hard work.

In early 2023, I brought my 2019 Landmaster Cruiser UTV to Eugene based Brim Tractor. I chose Brim, because they are the closest Landmaster Dealer. The UTV was smoking and missing very badly and had no power. I use the UTV 2 to 4 times a day, with it running up and down a hill/path to my house. Total run time is a couple minutes for each trip. I live 62 miles from Eugene Oregon and I personally delivered the UTV via trailer. At the time Tech. Jon Wood, reminded me that the motor was out of warranty and probably would be cheaper for him to replace the motor, than for Brim to troubleshoot the problem. He told me that the crankcase was over flowing with oil and fuel mix. He speculated that I might have over filled the motor when I last changed the Oil, intimating that “I” probably damaged the cylinders. based on his supplied information, I agreed to have Brim replace the motor. With a rough estimate of $1,800 to $2,200. When I picked up the machine (2/7/2023), the bill was a staggering $2,936.37. Which I happily paid (noting 4 prior years of reliable engine service) In 12/4/2024. I again brought in my UTV exhibiting the same symptoms. Jon remembered me and suggested that my hilly driveway might be the problem and would check if the Vanguard engine warranty would be valid. On 1/6/2025, When I checked with Jon about my UTV. He gave me the “big boy” talk about needing to do regular engine maintenance... oil change and plugs. I was told the repair bill would be about $2000.00 but he would check with his boss about an “adjustment”. On Friday 1/10/2025 about 11:45, I came to pick/up my UTV. I complained about the excessiveness of the bill for a “oil and spark plug change”. Telling Jon that the optics of this suggests bad things about the service department. He told me to leave because “I threatened him”. Shortly after, over the phone I talked to his manger Ron for about 35 minutes. I ended up paying under protest an adjusted $1,363.80. I agreed to this because of the trailer cost and “loss of use” for me to later drag the UTV 62 miles home. My issue is if the Tech was a competent trouble shooter the first time, I would have likely saved at least $1900.00. And the seconded time would not have happened. I choose Brim because they are a “respected” Landmaster dealer. In 2023, Jon was proud about his high labor rate, suggesting the level of quality in the service that Brim provides.  I trusted his pride of confidence. I have great sympathy for small businesses and understand the unseen costs of overhead. I checked with another landmaster dealer who quoted the cost of oil and spark plug change at about 250.00. After corresponding with management, we agreed to a $500.00 service charge and Brim refunded the me difference. A couple days ago. My UTV started missing again. I pulled the spark plugs and sure enough they were beginning to foul. I discovered the plugs were “cold”, which is a good choice for UTV’s that are run hard for long periods of time. I replaced the plugs with “hot” plugs to compensate for the short run times. This probably explains why the “old” engine plugs lasted 4 years before fouling. My UTV engine is a lawnmower motor. Every spring, lawn mowers that run badly are brought into small engine repair shops where they change the plugs, oil and sometimes clean carburetors. In the future maybe Brim might consider subbing out or referring this type of work to a small engine repair shop that specializes in servicing small engines.

Snowmobile Buyer's Guide – Brim Powersports - Eugene

Buying a snowmobile from Brim Powersports - Eugene in Eugene, Oregon? Use this checklist to avoid costly surprises.

  1. 1

    Inspect the track and slides

Lay the sled on its side and check the track for cracks, missing lugs, or cuts. Pull the track away from the slides and check for wear groove depth — worn slides increase drive noise and reduce efficiency.

  2. 2

Check the hood and tunnel for damage

Cracks in the hood or tunnel can signal a past crash. Look for mismatched or faded plastic, which often means replacement panels were installed after damage.

  3. 3

    Inspect the carbides and skis

Carbide runners on the ski underside provide steering. Worn carbides (less than 3/16" remaining) reduce handling on packed snow. Ski replacement is inexpensive, but factor it into your offer.

  4. 4

    Check coolant and oil

Pull the coolant reservoir cap and oil tank dipstick. Milky coolant signals water contamination. Low or dirty oil signals deferred maintenance. Ask ${dealerName} for service records.

  5. 5

Ask about storage and season history

A properly stored snowmobile — fuel stabilized, fogged engine, battery maintained — will start and run far better than one that sat neglected. Ask Brim Powersports - Eugene about the unit's storage and riding history.
