While driving down US-27, we saw this business and did a u-turn to check it out. They have a great selection of boats from starters to the big boys! They get new boats almost weekly, so check em out if you’re in the market for a boat or just curious. We met with a young man and he was great! Very knowledgeable and patient while we asked questions. They also have a location down in the keys as well!
I have been shopping for a boat for quite a while and found the right boat and a great deal with Chance Anderson’s help at Boaters World. I can’t say enough about my sales rep. He spent a lot of time searching the inventory and helped find the right boat and a great deal for me. I definitely recommend talking to Chance if you’re in the market for a boat.
I called about an Xpress boat and the type I was interested in. They told me they had some and to come on up. When I got there they did not have what I wanted, but tried to sell me something that I was not really interested in. I told them from the very beginning that I was shopping and not going to buy today. Cliff was very nice and showed us around. I asked for a price on one boat to compare in my future shopping. In order to get this price he sent me to the next office to a guy in a nice suit. I can’t remember his name. During this time I was highly pressured to buy and given a price. They would not let me take the quote because they told me I could use it to negotiate a better price somewhere else. That is exactly how you shop for something. The pressure he put on me felt very similar to a timeshare sales presentation. I got out of there and told Cliff of my dissatisfaction with the sales manager. They were supposed to send me pictures and more details on the boat and never did follow through. I would recommend to stay away from this place.
Started out around May of 2025. Had my 2023 Sun Tracker pontoon boat there to sell on consignment. It had a seam on the couch that had disintegrated so when they did the intake inspection called me to tell me it should be fixed. It would be $1500 to have the seam fixed that it isn’t covered under warranty. Told them don’t bother. Boat was there for 6 months told them I would sell it myself. When I picked it up 3more seams had disintegrated. I got the boat home I read the warranty paperwork and found out furniture and seats have 10 year warranty. Have been going round and round with boaters world for the past two months. They admitted finally it is under warranty but can’t get their upholstery people to come fix it. I would not recommend dealing with Boaters World in Lake Placid. Think it’s time to file small claims.
