Wonder if they provide the same sorry service that their Mountain View location did? Past tense because they closed it permanently because people would rather buy and service out of state than be screwed by a "local" business. This also conveniently removed all the poor reviews they had on Google. Maybe this shop is better, but buyer beware just from being part of the same chain.
This place is great! They will do anything to help you out and get you ready for the next weekend. The mechanic George is a very knowledgeable individual on Polaris machines. If you have any problem he will find a solution and fix it. I would always trust him to fix it right.
They make no appointments for service? Just drop it off and we might have it a week or so??? You can't atleast tell me what day works? It's a 30 minute job according to the recall bulletin?
I'll NEVER GO BACK! I stopped in on my new KTM 790A while touring to get the chain checked and tightened if necessary, a 5-minute job! I was charged for a 1/2 hr labor and a $10 'environmental disposal' fee; all toll about $75 for 5-minutes of very poor workmanship. Owner had some teenager do it , yelled to the teenager the supposedly proper chain deflection in millimeters, and didn't check if it was done properly. When I got home about 1,000 miles later, I had it checked by a local, large KTM dealer who tightened it properly and in accordance w/ KTM recommendations and said KTM Rock Springs had tightened it way too tight! The local KTM dealer showed me the actual chain deflection as set by Rock Springs KTM vs KTM's recommendations. Local shop properly adjusted the chain at no cost. I'll never go back to KTM Rock Springs (Morgan Valley KTM outlet)! If they treat locals like 'travelers' I don't know how they stay in business!
I don't know if this was fair or not. They said they could diagnose the problem in 24 to 48 hrs, but couldn't called Polaris, still no help they had it for 3 days. Charged $152 but I got nothing although I am sure they did some diagnostics
